Can We Buff Srms Already?

The 6x6 A1 pissed a lot of people off, but PGI claims they are fixing boating issues.
So can we have the old SRMs back now?
They are point blank range, hard to aim, and scatter damage.
They were the crux of the Centurion, hunchback, and trebuchet, even the X-5.
nerfing SRMs screwed over so many designs that were already struggling and it was completely unnecessary.
A hotfix to ATLEAST 2.0 damage should be a huge priority.
I don't remember the last time I got hit by SRMs from anything heavier than 50 tons, and those poor lighter mechs just got wrecked by my partical cannon Phracts\Highlanders.
Please bring back the old SRMs, they were never OP.
Just keep the SSRM at 1.5
you are trading payload for that guidance system as well as the 0.5 tons.

You'll take 3 to 6 PPCs, and you'll be thankful.

I don't see anybody in this thread asking for AC/20, PPC, Gauss Rifle, Large Pulse Laser, or Large Laser nerfs.
You're also forgetting that every weight class can use SRMs (this addresses the second half of your post).

Too bad for Atlas who should be the king of battlefield. From DDC SRM-nerf cut round 30% of its firepower, and combined to hit detection messup it's mainly a big target to poptarts.

ATD 38, in particular with streaks still hitting the CT a majority of the time due to splash.
Quote
A: Currently the SSRMs will randomly hit one of 8 bones on a Mech. The cluster of these bones is generally around the CT area. In addition to a large splash damage effect, and damage transfer – most of the damage is ending up on the CT, even though the missiles are actually hitting at different locations on the mech. It’s not actually a bug, rather a tuning fix to minimize splash damage. This tuning adjustment will go live in the first patch of June. Unfortunately, the fix was a tad late for the 21st patch.
Essentially, Jenners for the next two weeks are going to be bent over by the ressurection of the streakcat.

Sorry every time I bring up SRMs people talk bout streaks.
They are completely different weapon systems,
don't let the name fool you.
BAP is a huge buff to STREAK srms, and we get a LRM flight speed buff.... WAIT
HERE PGI GOES AGAIN, throwing the flight speed buff at the same time as the BAP buff. can't we just see what BAP does before we buff flight speed?
but SRMs still are only effective to about 200m, hard to aim, spread damage, and hit like nerf footballs.

Why so serious?
If you paid even an iota of attention you would know that in the next two patches theres going to be missile balancing done.
Don't shoot the messenger because you're too lazy to walk to the mailbox.
