They already talked about this in some of the earlier dev interviews. They have a license from MS that allows them to do Windows, Xbox, and mobile platforms. They couldn't get a publisher to go along with the original idea for a single player mechwarrior game because they all wanted to release on at least 2 consoles to justify the investment.
