nah, LRMs still not worth the weight. Have Artie and BAP. I'll just wait for Clan LRMs. Anyone with direct fire blows an LRM fitted mech to bits, even at 800 meters. The need to keep the missile locked for the entire flight, instead of the normal fire and forget LRM, will keep MWO LRMs for boating only.

The new flightpaths of LRMs are crazy... there is nearly no cover on some maps O_O

Before the patch, given that the Highlander was moving, only 1/3rd of those missile would actually hit. The new flight paths and speed are quite impressive.

I'll have to check it out - I have a Stalker build with a lot of LRMs (not a pure "boat," but close). Haven't hopped in it for a while because I already leveled it up to master. I had always planned on that being my primary - that might just happen sooner.

Question, why was AC 5 range increased? Auto Cannons were designed to be short range weapons, and it's already rage inducing that people are able to snipe and spam AC's across the map and deal massive damage. Damage should be 0 beyond 1000 meters, as it totally defeats the purpose of using AC's as a close range combat weapon like they were designed in the old MechWarrior games.

Good, that will stop all those poptart jump camping n00bs and put them in their places. When you can snipe them from range and get a target lock when they pop out, they will die quickly.

Indeed I agree.

But what you do is not criticism: It has a very heavy load of sarcasm and acidic bile that drips in your every comment.

So my position stands: Please stop whining. Leave this game, if you think its so horrible what they are doing. This Community would be so much better with more CRITICS and less WHINERS: people able to take a reasoned and _detached_ point of view. You might reason, but you are not detached, your pre-jugments contaminate all your posts.

They capped legged speed at 40kph?
That does effectively mean that they introduced three scout nerfs in just one update? (well, two definite nerfs and one potential nerf)

Man, they really hate scouts.

The flaming and vitriol is once again worth a 4 page strip in the Sunday funnies.. I`ll just touch on some of the more glaring exampeles of failure to read, comprehend, or think logically. TH true fact of the matter is in italics, and what you can do to adapt is bolded and underlined.

Only if you are so stupid that you continue to fire indiscriminately when at 90% heat. In which case you would have shut down regularly before, too.

An Intelligent pilot will simply walk to his team, tanking the (still laughable) damage, and the flamer will get shredded when they arrive or leave you alone to save his hide.

Ssrms have a range of 270m. If you are an INTELLIGENT and CAPABLE pilot w /ECM, you simply adapt and do not close to under 160 meters on any given mech. Learn to play without being an anklebiter. The ONLY reason for an ECM mech to regularly close to 180m or less is to counter enemy ECM

"BAP is useless for LRMS"

1. You`ve apparently never tried to acquire a missile lock with an ECM light circling you. Now he has to circle you in a thin band between 151 and 180M, otherwise you can do whatever you want with total impunity.
Try equipping BAP first instead of whining, and learn the truth doing so

and

2. You are not the only mech on the field. If your teammates that go close range are intelligent and equip BAP, you should see targets popping up left and right if they`re not out of LOS and people use their targeting. This is admittedly a rarer and rarer occurence in the poptart.heavy gameplay of the last weeks, esp in PUG groups,but the people I drop with actually DO understand how their mech works. That alleviates most of the issue. That targeting lets you see where to put your damage to be effective instead of hitting random undamaged spots because you`re just shooting at an untargeted mech that may or may not be open already. If you want to waste 4 shots on my CT whole I tear your side off in 2 and nuke your XL, even thouugh my LT and RT are open, by all means be my guest.

If they are not, find new, intelligent teammates to play with. And don`t say "but I`m a PUG", becasue you have new teammates every round and should have no problem quickly seeing the difference if you actually use your targeting systems.

"LRMs are useless now becasue of the AMS"

AMS was indirectly nerfed by the LRM speed buff, the dmg buff to it brings it back in line with where it was before. I still don`t see Atlas Ks knocking out more than 10 missiles /salvo, which is exactly what happened before. Net Change is almost Zero.

Equip 2AMS and stand in the he middle of the water on Forest Colony, letting missiles just come our way, and tell me how it works out for you.


Protip: How can you you keep from looking like a total ****** at every single patch?

Try: Patch, Read, Equip, Test, comment instead of Whine, Assume, Whine, Patch, Whine, Logoff , Whine :D

Just saying that the missiles are broken again :D i think it was good that you buffed the damage and speed, but they are only going for CT, got killed by missiles in front ct while showing my back to the enemies...

Ok, LRMs are broken, again. That flightpath is ridiculous, together with always hitting CT and buffed damage. All my teammates (incl. me) get weird lagspikes, ping flicking from ~120 up to ~240, and we have all different providers, that's not from our side.
I like the new map, BJ is useless as predicted and the PPC nerf does its job pretty well once you closed in on the enemy.
There are some hotfixes needed, asap.
