EDIT* This issue, namely the card overheating and unusually low FPS and response times were fixed by whatever unlisted updates to the servers or code you added with the hotfix. Thanks for the timely update.
Post April 2nd, my performance dropped from AVG 24 FPS to 8FPS until the most recent hotfix, at which point it performed back at the normal rates until the may 21st patch. Now, my performance has once again been utterly demolished, now averaging only 8-12fps and giving excessive latency for all commands and responses from typing to firing off jumpjets.
Only the most recent in a long line of patches that has made me seriously reconsider PGI's decision to use the much more intensive and ineffecient cryengine 3 over, as an example, the current Unreal engine. That choice has severely limited the overall performance of the game, regardless of beta status. Overall, I feel it was very shortsighted.
Otherwise, here's hoping you guys are able to reign in a fix.
Have Done: Reinstalled graphics drivers, reinstalled MWO, checked all nvidia gpu power and performance setting and made a custom entry for MWO specific settings.
When I run AIDA to watch my gpu information, I noticed that MWO forces the card into its lowest clock settings automatically, despite far more intensive games such as EVE or Supreme Commander not doing so. Please PGI, your code is highly unstable and ineffective, it needs to be your highest priority over new content. You cannot expect the current trend to result in a functional full game being released in time. If you keep doing this, you will endure the same problems WoW's (one year before the devs said it was done and ready) initial release had.
Please please PLEASE do not make that mistake. Patience is a virtue, and I do not see it being applied to this game.
