Not much more to say than the title.

I dusted off my Pretty Baby, loaded it up with 55 LRMs, and took it out on a few matches today.

I never died. I never had fewer than 2 kills and many assists. I never had to "work" for a kill. I just sat near the back and pointed and clicked. Easy money.

My question is: WHO enjoys this? What is the point? Minecraft is more challenging. I cannot suppose it is any more fun for my hapless victims, especially on Caustic Valley, where things that USED to provide cover no longer do.

PGI, please PLEASE do not cater to the crowd that thinks this is at all fun, or takes the slightest skill. A Hotfix is necessary yesterday, not with the next patch.

I personally don't play this game much anymore its not just the missiles the game is just grindee and boring as heck. When PGI decided to not let private matches and leagues into the meta I feel they Fuckkeedd up the game. Leagues offered a lot of diversity as in Solaris leagues, planetary leagues you name it all with specific rules to play by in 1v1-12v12 matches. Now I go in play a few games of PaperWarriorOnline=MWO and im done its back to WarThunder,StarConflict and StarTrekOnline these games might not be perfect but there very entertaining compared to MWO.

It's obvious that you don't know what you're talking about, Joseph Mallan.

Oh no I do indeed know what I am talking about. The ability to point and click is very over rate. No weapon in this game is hard to use. And trying to say one is harder than another... Will if my 47 year old fingers and eyes can use all three types of weapons with equal success... All weapons are easy mode.

It's not hard to play basketball. Just throw a ball at a hoop. Everyone can be LeBron James now....not.

It takes practice and skill to put the ball in the hoop consistently. That is direct fire weapons. SSRMs/LRMs are a machine that shoots the ball into the hoop and all you have to do is push a button.

LRMs/SSRMs do require some skill but nowhere near as much as direct fire.

I will have to disagree. It is much much easier to shoot something when you have line of sight on it. Unless it is moving 130+ KpH.

There is zero % more skill to shot with direct fire than Indirect. In fact my hit percentages would show the exact opposite. 50%-80% with all direct fire weapons(50% with SRMs). 76% with Streaks (the weapon that just cannot miss  ) and less than 15% with LRMs(11%w/20s an 20%w/15s). I'd say Direct Fire is in fact the easy mode weapons. B)

Watching you try to explain why auto aiming LRMs are comparably challenging to use versus a direct fire weapon is fun. Do it some more. :) 9794 posts of bad logic.

Don't worry everyone. Mellon is here to tell us all why an auto aiming cursor which requires an affirmatory "click", is as challenging to use as a weapon that requires predicting an enemies movement, leading them based on their movement speed, compensating for shell drop, in addition to the requirement of an affirmatory "click." The internet is saved... for now.... once he explains it.

You can learn a lot about MWO from this video. Think about it.

I are doesn't like being told he's wrong I see. I kill folks day in and day out with Direct Fire Weapons. I stopped using LRMs because they were not getting the job done. So again I ask which is easy mode again? There are no hard weapons to use. They all take minimal skill to use. Sorry if the truth ruffle your feathers. If you can see and click a mouse, you can kill everything in MWO.

Even by your logic, there is ''easy mode'' and ''ridiculously easy mode''.

Like every other PC game.
