Before you read further, make no mistake, we are MERCENARIES, and we fight for no one but ourselves. No one tells us what to do or who to attack. All will fall under the Jurai banner. Continue....

Back in the days of Netmech, House Jurai was once part of House Kurita. HJ rebelled and left to become an empire of their own. Though no longer part of Kurita, House Jurai still retains the samurai family culture, rank structure, divisions, and the customary bowing to one another. In mech games we have taken on roles ranging from pirates, to mercenary, to periphery, minor states and major houses in the various planetary leagues that have existed.

One thing that is often asked is what time zones we are in. Our members are aprox split between 50% USA, 40% AU, 8% EU and 2% undetermined(means they move around alot in the military)

Our history in mech leagues - TKZ(kali, netmech), WNL, ADL, LH2, VnR, NBT4, NBTM, maybe a few others I am forgetting... As a gaming group, we have been around a long time, and have many veterans of mech games, and other games. As you can see, we are not some flash in the pan unit. We set goals, and achieve them. If you view our homepage, and view our games history you will see where we have been, and what we have accomplished in those games and leagues.

On the serious side, we talk tactics, we practice, we plan, we test, we scheme, we trial and train each other to be the best there is. Our goals are always lofty, nothing short of universal domination... What will we be in MWO? Currently our role will be mercenary, and we await to see how things will function on the community pillar system before we decide to be something else.. One thing is certain, we will be competing on the highest level possible, and probably on all levels. We also will be competing in MW Tactics, and Hawkin. We will be very busy and very involved in these mech worlds and there will be opportunites to step up and be a leader in these games. In our unit, activity and success equals rank. The more active you are, the more successful you are, the higher in the ranks you will get. Success in battle can also earn you awards, medals, and campaign ribbons, which you keep forever.

House Jurai, as a rule, ensures no pilot is benched in competitive play. All will be given the chance to compete if they desire. In the past, this rule has served us well, in that every pilot, green to ace, gains experience in the competitive matches, and eventually we all become veteran, or ace, so no matter which HJ is on the field, they all know what they are doing, and more often than not, brings victory.

Off the field of battle, we rest, socialize, tell stories, get to know each other, make friends and celebrate our victories on our irc chat. We enjoy talking about anything in chat, no subject is forbidden, and no one is shut out for expressing themselves anyway they please.(unless it is illegal..) We encourage it. Many HJ's have become good and loyal friends with each other over the years. In the past we have used teamspeak as our primary voice coms, but now we are using mumble, with teamspeak as a backup.

The lowest rank is Heishi, and the highest rank is Warlord. You initially join as a Heishi (Its japanese for 'private'). As a member, one can search out their calling, and if deemed worthy, can trial to join one of the Samurai families that make up House Jurai, each with their own history, characteristics, and trial requirements. Once you join a samurai family, it is for life, and you add the family name onto your own.(example, I am a member of the Tokomi family, and so, my name in uniform is [HJ]-Teralitha Tokomi)

If you are new to meching (or whatever the case may be) we welcome you to join us. You may do so by registering on our website, then, join our irc channel from the link below or on the website, put on the Uniform of a member [HJ]-(callsign) /me bow to the room and declare your allegience to House Jurai and your desire to conquer this world with HJ, in your own fashion. Once you have joined us, we want you to be active in irc chat, get to know us, and us you. Your presence contributes to what the heart of House Jurai is and will be.

HJ is more than a mech unit, we are a multigaming group, and our members group up and play several different games.

View our website here - http://www.nodachi.n...odachi%204.0%29
Visit our irc channel from this link - http://www.nodachi.net/Chat/
If you prefer your own irc client, join from this link and we will help you set up what you need to join our irc from your own client. Recommend using IceChat version 9.x Its totally freeware.

Any old returning HJ's... come on in!

One question: by world domination do you mean you plan on taking a specific world or do you mean you want to take multiple worlds?

Ok ill rephrase that.. Universal domination.... in whatever way is possible in MWO. We dont know yet if it is... but its still our goal. All planets in existence. All bases in existenc. All empires in existence, will one day be under our control....

I wasnt expecting to have to actually clarify to what degree of domination we actually seek.... but I hope that clears it up.

The doors to being Juraian are always open to all.
As stated above, our goal is to dominate and have fun.
Battle rotations are guaranteed, I should know, I have been making sure everyone gets into combat for over twelve years.

Come on over, and see. I wait to greet those who have fallen aside and those who are new.

Maybe you're wondering: what can I expect from HJ while I wait for MWO to go live? Why would I want to pick a unit before the game starts, especially one that isn't canon? What does HJ have to offer me?

Well, besides the general discussions in our Facebook group, the New Posts and Wall Posts on our custom web/social-networking site, and a 24x7 IRC channel, we also have a 24x7 web radio, with occasional live DJs. Tonight we're rocking out with some hard core Industrial and Electro sounds from DJ :Lynx:, (founder of HJ & real-life club DJ) with us US folks sharing the experience with our friends in AU.

Why? Because we can, and because we play as hard as we game. HJ is as much of a party with our great online friends and fellow warriors as it is a gaming unit.

Once we go live? Well, heck, HJs just ain't happy if we're not conquering the known universe and picking fights with clanners, so whatever the game play experience is like, you can be sure we'll be making a name for ourselves, and making plenty of enemies. ;) And after we're done kicking butt, you can expect a live in-chat after-party, with a live DJ, and war stories old and new o'plenty.

Oh, yeah, and we're also likely to get into MechWarrior Tactics, and a couple other PC mecha games going live this or next year (I won't mention them here, since this is a MWO forum, but check our website for details.)

HJ's leaders have been running this unit for over a decade -- we know what we're doing. Sure, we've made our mistakes, and we've learned from them. We know what it takes to make a great mech unit, and what it takes to form, build, and hold together a unit through anything the internet and personal dramas have to throw at us.

All we ask? Be loyal to HJ, and its leadership. Unlike most MMO guilds, you won't find HJ to be a starting unit that provides a stepping stone for membership to another unit. If you don't belong in HJ, if you're not a good fit, you're not likely to get in. Some people have slipped through the cracks, but they never last long. If you do belong in HJ, you're probably going to be HJ for life. Many of our members that stopped gaming still like to come and hang out with us, even if it is just occasionally. Once an HJ, always an HJ.

Just wanted to say that House Jurai has a lot of awesome people in it, I joined recently and feel more at home than any gaming clan I've ever been a part of. :P

Oh, and bumping, for great justice!

Hey guys, good to see you. Sure, we clashed a whole lot back on NBT, but it's nice seeing units I've spent time playing with on either side of the battle hop in here.

I've always been impressed you guys pioneered the high-speed Bushwacker pack a good year before anybody even thought of it, I'll always think of the whole tactic as your invention. Hopefully we'll get to play together out there sometime, either with or against!

Anyway, good seeing you folks.

We had a few.... inventions... Though most were all geared towards defeating clan strategies, which we they did so effectively.

Awesome Noobage? What the? The only good thing about House Kurita and other noobs is that they quickly turn into nice salvage.

If that comment was intended to be a put down or a challenge ... bring it.

I remember the day when we ... the NBT Kell Hounds ... went against them ... the NBT House Jurai ... in a round of paintball in Sydney ...

Now that was a great day out ...

Great bunch of blokes if anyone is looking to join a unit that was a tough nut to crack in the days of MW4/Mercs ...

Bawk!

The interesting things about trolls is:

1. They live under bridges.
2. They often turn to stone in the harsh light of day.

We RESPECT our targets, even while rending them to salvage. In the past, enemy's have made friends with us for just these two reasons. You will learn this.
