It´s interesting how many people complain now about the fix of the LRMs. I´m sure most of those are the guys playing an Atlas with 3 LRM15 and ER-PPCs or Highlanders with 4 LRM15...
I hoped for a few more changes at the LRMs but i can live with this.
I hate Boat-builds and would love to see that people have to create good balanced builds. I think boating is crap.
I never used a boat, no PPC, no LRM and so on.
Alway tried to create a balanced build.
But when you loose against such a crap-build... thats no fun in my opinion.
Well, dear PGI, keep up the good work. Some people are not happy when they can´t complain when you fix bugs they´re using to win... I´m sure it´s hard to read just complaints so i want to tell you: Thanks for that!
I have to confess that i also complained about the changes of the ECM but i changed my build a bit and balanced it, Now its working fine again.
I get where youre coming from, but rather than focusing on a balanced Mech, I like a balanced Lance. And a firesupport (boat) mech is a great addition to a balanced Lance. Why do you think there are so many Mechs armed primary with LRMs across the weight classes in Battletech? Because a balanced lance has a fire support Mech.
Tonight I was bringing 2 friends into the fight with my 4x LRM15 stalker. A Raven (non 3l) and a Heavy Metal. With the Raven spotting early, and the Highlander able to relieve the Raven of that duty with some staying power once he had position I was free to support my team as is only tactical. The Highlander called out the targets, kept him lit for me, and was rewarded with supporting fire. It would not have worked as well if my stalker were more balanced instead of built to balance the team.
