I will reserve a mech bay for this baby.. and I may even ditch my Awesome for it.. and it will keep me playing for a few more months.

Actually, those machine guns are in the legs...

They will obviously get moved unless PGI has made the decision to incorporate leg firing weaponry. The question is, to what location? If PGI is crazy enough and actually split them between the torso locations you could essentially drop the engine rating and mount 3 AC/20's but it would take such severe sacrifices that would make the mech a one trick pony that is easily rendered useless. However, THREE Gauss Rifles with 30 rounds of ammo each on the other had is actually very doable, though it requires the use of an XL engine, Endo-Steel and the lack of a a couple tons of armor.

If they were smart about it they would move both machine guns to a single torso or arm location.

Move them both to CT. Behold the assault AC/2 boat :)

not a poptart killer, it IS a poptart

if they follow their current pattern we won't see them until the month it is released...maybe a month before if we're lucky.

No it's ballistics heavy mech. We will probably see it used in the pop tart role but this mech is 80 tons and one or more variants may possibly be able to mount dual gauss or dual AC20's on it. Also this should be out into game in July.

Cool, I always loved using the Victor in tabletop. This almost makes me want to switch to join the Federated Suns.

O.K. now that I'm not just posting quick quips between busyness:
We already have on mech that should have three targeting reticles, the HGN-733C: the horizontally locked out right arm, the full range of motion left arm, and the torso. But the horizontal movement on the arms in only 10 degrees so at could argue the convergence mount or servos or what ever causes a mech to have a dynamic convergence point allows for the relatively small degree of movement.
The base variant of the Victor along with several other of the variants sporting arm mounted AC/20 will be in the same boat as the HGN-733C as requiring at least three reticles to keep consistent with the mechanics laid out by the Yen-Lo-Wang (and the CN9-AH) along with some variants needing a forth reticle for leg (I was saying hips earlier because the bit of mech art I saw on SARNA that had leg mounted MGs they were in the inner knee joint, plus Wakfu reference) that will have to be locked to the direction of the legs/lower body (maybe placed on some sort of swivel mount so the MGs can actually hit were infantry would be coming from).
Now the question is: will the two reticle system remain universal to all mechs and the Victor variants with the AC/20 gets the HGN-733C's restricted arm motion along with the variants with the legs mounts either being excluded or having the ballistic points moved to somewhere similarly restrictive location like the center torso; or will a system that allows for more reticles be implemented for certain mechs?

Finally an assault ride I might enjoy! This will fill out my preferred assault mech to use, like the Centurion, Orion in their classes.

Was hoping for the Zeus, but the Victor is equally desirable. The only real reason I preferred the Zeus was for the 6Y anyways. It will be nice to have a jump capable assault that moves at the speeds I prefer.

Yup, because that's what we need... another mech.

Don't bother fixing:

Matchmaking
HUD glitches
Disconnects
Crash to Desktops
SRMs
Poptarting
Completely broken heatscale leading to 6 ERPPC boats
Splash (that shouldn't have been in the game to begin with)

Nope... just give us a new mech. Because that's what we need. So what if we can't play it, at least it looks cool in our mech bay.

I was just thinking about this mech! Just got done reading the part in "The Sword and the Dagger" as Ardan's Victor gets torn apart by a Zeus... Even though I love my Zeus. It some how made me want this mech, basically a centurion on steroids. Only thing I want more is the Zeus :)

Dude we have a fix for boating PPCs and poptarts coming soon. HUD bugs were quashed a patch or two ago. Matchmaking continues to be refined. Most players know the disconnect to menu bug is caused by a malformed packet in the software and not something on the gamers end. I haven't heard of any recent mass crash to desktop problem recently but it could still plague a minority. The SRM artemis fix is still coming down the line as far as we know and they definitely could use a minor damage buff. Splash damage was fixed in todays hot fix if I am not mistaken.

A quarter of that stuff doesn't need fixing, another quarter has already been fixed, and the rest is being actively worked on, despite your suggestion that nobody is even paying attention to them. You're veering close to troll territory.

A 62 KPH dual AC20 Assault mech with 4 Medium Lasers and Jump Jets. Speaking for myself though, cannot say anything about the others.

While that is the hope let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. We haven't seen the mwo hardpoint locations yet.

The best hire PGI has made yet is hiring FD to do the art. There are still so many mechs left we haven't seen him do yet. Honestly, I would buy a book of his mechs. No kidding. Coffee table material right there. PGI, think about it.

And Hayden, I want this pattern more than any other when CW drops. That, and/or the "new" Davion pattern with the 5 horizontal stripes. Please make this happen.

"everyone's complaining about jump snipers - i know! lets give them an 80 ton jump sniper!"

Disappointed it wasn't the zeus as well

eta: though if only we had the Javelin we'd have the four Inner Sphere 'Mechs that came with CityTech, the Javelin, Centurion, Orion and Victor.

I would also accept a Wolfhound as an alternate. Exactly what I was thinking. Excited to see most of the City Tech 2nd ed mechs here (seems safe that all the clan ones will be if they fix the Blackhawk).

Funny I was also hoping specifically for a Zeus but in a way this was also on my list so hopefully Zeus will get here to someday :D

Harm, you need to keep in mind that certain people do certain things at PGI. FD draws this art, Hayden does the textures, and other people bring the mech to life. Some/all of these people have nothing to do with the things you listed. I understand your frustration, but it'd be like sticking a teacher of a different subject in a classroom that he/she knows nothing about.
