and ? a catapult/jaegermech/cataphract can also mount dual gauss :/
can you not imagine what the victor will be able to mount on top of the dual gauss with the extra tonnage?
maybe a few PPCs maybe more armor, more speed, etc etc.

Yeah... it threw me off at first (until I found Hayden's post), because the redesigned insignia is so radically different from the original rendition (which is what most listings and galleries use).

It appears the Lyrans lost in the great iconic mech race. While the Commando is certainly a capable mech for it's size, I'm a bit sad that the Lyrans didn't get one of their true loves, an Iconic Lyran Assault mech. Victor will probably be capable, but it's either just a big Cataphract, or a small Highlander in terms of usage. The FedSuns won the Icon race.
Not a bad choice, not an exciting choice I like the look however. I'm expecting that they might put 6 jets capability in at least one of the variants. It's a very mobile assault mech across all variants AFAIK. I believe every single variant ever made has dakka in the right arm as the main weapon. Probably pretty fun ride, especially for Centurion pilots that want mobility but some more oomph.
Catapults are Capellan except for the K model.

I guessed Banshee, but the Victor will be a nice addition, though we'll still need 95ton option.

I probably wouldn't have ever used the Banshee either, but the more Mechs the merrier! In fact, I'm more likely to pick up a Victor than I would have a Banshee.

Here's hoping for something to get announced that's actually NEW, since while the Vic' itself may be new to MW:O, the role it'll play is already over-populated... well. Victor's just another example of why I keep my expectations of PGI very low, sadly they don't often clear that. Maybe someday... maybe.

You people use to judge the Victor by its main variant (which yes, it is somewhat between the Orion and the Highlander).
Look at the other variants: (I will post this one more time)
If triple Gauss or AC/60 are not able to impress you, I don't know what WTF you want.
EDIT: updated the table for a bigger one. (and removed one module for each dual/triple Gauss, for balance)
