Hmm, so we won't have VTR-9A?.. Really sad.
I have suspicions that it works this way: guys from PGI screwed up with gameplay balance, and now screwed up game balance affects their choice of mechs to include in the game. Just imagine how 9A variant would "improve" current pinpoint-high-damage-alpha meta! So no-no to it. Hope I'm wrong.

She's a beautiful mech. Shapely, seductive. I'm gonna pilot her brains out.

I can't help but be disappointed. I thought we were going to see a serious ballistic based assault mech but in the end we get a watered down Highlander. Seriously with the hard point layout that is all it is.

Now I understand something needed to be done about game balance. Obviously giving the Victor dual AC20's and none of the inherent weaknesses of the Jagermech and Catapult would have been terrible for balance. But on the flip side you could have easily moved the hard points around in such a way as to not allow that kind of abuse.

I am just disappointed for this mech. I don't even know if I'm going to spend the C-bills on it. I might as well just wait for the Orion.

Remodel this mech, artwork looked soo good and in game model is so bad. Why bother asking alex to make a very detailed artwork when you dont even put half the details in the model in game!

They do make exact copies of artwork, but then they have to downscale it, since even best Nvidia graphics cards on the world in SLI mode with some crazy processor nothing short of a server wouldn't be able to render 24 of them plus all the effects and the map in real time. :)

Besides, it's not like it's totally badly made, or lacking detail... just the texture's putting it down:

Also, given the height of the pilot in the above picture, does the vertical height of each of those bars represent 1 meter (which would make the Victor just shy of 17 meters tall)? :(

this is a good art work:

from a viewpoint of the creativity, the new victor is very poor.

Funny how people these days value mechs by the ability to mount PPC's and/or Gauss.
Judging by this, would that make the Dragon Slayer P2W in the Victor line?
Seeing as it is the only Victor able to mount 3 PPC's and 1 Gauss, where the other Victors can only mount 2 PPC's and 1 Gauss tops.

its not the scale. the proportions are off from the concept. the shoulders are too high and too wide. Here is my quick and dirty fix:

The concept art gave me a nice humanoid vibe, like a bulked up, stocky armored guy with a sleek arm cannon. The actual model is just off in some places. Really noticeable is the shoulders are higher and wider like kuangmk11 said. It looks way wider compared to its depth. The leg based looks wider. The waist tapers more. Feels like it has a short overall upper body (though that could be the leg base and waist playing tricks). The the gap in-between the toes is wider, and the feet look flatter. The gun arm does not look quite as menacing as the art (I don't have specifics here).

It's a handful of little things that add up to make it look off.

This part made me chuckle. Least you guys pay attention to what the bulk of your players are using, now if you'll excuse me I have a 3D to play with 2 erppcs and a gauss rifle!

dont forget the fantastic hit-detection

Victor looks impressive head on, but you look at the side view and it looks very thin for an assault, the YLW looks like an assault from the side view compared to the Victor...agreed the concept art looked much better, compared to the in game model.

So... we're finally "replacing" the Awesome with a Victor...

Welcome to being obsolete.

The Stalker replaced your role already and now the Victor will jump-kick you away.

Time to demand for Awesome buffs.

Awesome still has a huge hardpoint advantage, not to mention speed and armour.

Only the 9m has the speed advantage. It also has the advantage of being very roomy, since you know its an RV

The Pretty Baby hero can take a 400 engine, 9M only goes up to 385.

The armor's the same, and I wouldn't say there's a hardpoint advantage, that area is debatable I guess.
