The AMS change was nice too, makes the incoming missile spam less of a problem for my lance mates and myself!

Every change prompts over use from what has been changed. Deal with it, I have no sympathy for those that whine.

Been around since CB and I know how to wreck enemy teams by myself.
And (currently) the way to do that is smart use of long range builds Period.
I can tell this forum is full of 30-40 somethings with no life because of how arrogant and condescending people can be

To be clear, I have a wonderful Atlas D setup that does range, support, and brawling.. fairly efficiently.
2ALRMx15s for support/range
1ERLL for range/punch
2Med lasers and an AC20 for short range.
Will it do as well at brawling as the iconic D-DC from the brawling meta? no
Will it do as well at range as a 6PPC stalker? no
Will it laugh at the D-DC forced to hide or be punished for having no ranged weapons? yes.
Will it laugh at the PPC stalker forced into a brawl? emphatic yes.

With the missile speed adjustment, the age of the viable mixed load mech is returning...
Me favorite thing to see is 5-6 mechs on my team all turning and sending 15-20 LRMs at a spotted target.
That is called: "support"

I'll be the first to admit I am a lousy player, 3-4 kill matches are few and far between for me but I usually manage 3-500 damage in whatever I happen to be piloting but I have my less than 100 and greater than 800 matches as well.
I'm also incredibly laid back so I don't slap my extrodinarily small epeen around unless it is warranted.
My favorite mech at the moment is a HGN-733c with the ac/20, 2ML, and 3xSRM 6+A. One jump jet for mobility and a standard 310 engine. I trash other mechs so by no means do SRMs require much of a boost. Maybe in the single launcher area, sure but large quantities of them, they do not need more than a 0.3 damage boost.
I started this thread as a thanks and would like to keep it light. Sorry if my last post offended but take it as is, brawling is fine. SRM damage boost will break it unless they change splash damage.

sometimes I think the gameplay in different brackets must be completely different
I dont even SEE brawlers.

Maybe your bracket sucks or something..
General playout of games on my end:
Find the enemy, move to engage, if there is a standoff, some mechs flank and provide locks to use LRMs and force the team to move and make the battlefield shift, and the brawlers move closer in order to engage.
Haven't gone a single match in that atlas where I haven't fired my AC20 frequently to great effect.
I especially love using LRMs to support the fight while I flank behind the enemy to open up with AC20 and lasers...

The crying about LRMs, i bet it was mostly from poptarts who are generally too stupid to fight against anything that can fight back. Glad your easymode MWO is back. Lol.

The 4 second reload time makes little difference for Stalkers with 4-6 PPCs and poptarts. They were almost never firing every 3 seconds anyway.
It does, however, make a big difference for the Awesome 8Q, with only 3 PPCs and no speed to jump in and out of cover. Where the Stalker is a knockout puncher, the Awesome 8Q is a volume puncher. And the 4 second reload time makes the Awesome an even worse choice than it was before.
I still love it though. And I do well with it. So it's not useless. But I'm not thanking anyone.
