I own a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard and I have been trying to download the System Profiler for a couple of weeks. However, each time I try to open the Profiler, I see a document that says "This program cannot be run in DOS mode."
I am not sure what this means nor am I sure what I can do to fix the issue. Can someone help?

probably (hopefully) PC only for a long time.
PGI doesn't need to have the distraction of trying to make their game run on mac while they are still making it, the more resources going to actual game development the better.

The problem is, the ENGINE the game is built on(Cryengine 3), which is developed by a different company(Crytek), does not run on a Mac. This is a much larger effort than simply choosing to move to mac or choosing not to, and PGI has no say in how or when Ctytek would (or would not) make Cryengine 3 run on a Mac.

In short - NO.
Create a partition in your disk drive and load windows onto it.
Then configure the bios to utilize a dual boot so you can chose either windows or mac OS upon startup.
(not totaly sure how macs work but im sure you can do it - atleast with a PC you can)

I agree a single PC development path is best for MWO right now. Wasn't Eve Online out for years before a functioning Mac client was released?

You can also try building and configuring Wine or perhaps use CrossOver by Codeweavers. I am a fan of the Bootcamp scenario.
