I love this idea! Do this on a regular basis with varying difficulty levels (I think this is considered easy to medium difficulty) so everybody can participate. I like this idea way more than the previous "events". I am not suggesting you should scrap the events, but I think focusing on such a challenge once every week (or even more often) is a nice idea to get people rolling! If you have something to progress on the will to keep playing is huge!

events need a bit of a warning if they're going to be this short, dropping in on the last day isn't fun :(

5 1/2 hours and only 16 / 25 for the trinket prize with an approx w/l ration of 16/39.

I am going to change my callsign to "Bad Luck Chuck".

This is friggan ridiculous!

Why don't they just finish the game up, announce that the cd/dvd has gone gold, package it up with " EVERYTHING" included and sell it. But, no, they have to nickle and dime you for both your hard earned money and more importantly your time, which is irreplaceable. For what? For trivial cosmetic items along with a whole slew of crap that has nothing to do about enhancing the performance of the game or mechs.

Congrats to those lucky ones who have been fortunate enough to be on a majority of winning teams to get their free "prize" in such quick fashion and with minimal waste of time. But, for the majority of those who are less fortunate, I suppose we'll just return to reality, family, work and responsibility instead of wasting it on virtual reality.

Peace.

First i wanted to say thank you for the event. It was quite a nice experience.
Second i guess people tried very hard not to be on the losing side and therefor the gaming experience was far better than the last weeks.
I encountered much less '*")(/)##"!§(/R than usual and there was often even some rudementary teamplay in the rounds between solo players.
Very nice, hope to see more events.

hYlAnDeR, i'll give you a hint.
When you play, if you die in a round, exit the missions right away, and join another with a different mech. as soon as you die, start a new mission.
Statistically, the more games you play the higher the total number of wins.

Unless you are really good, and can make a decisive difference in a particular game, just being in more, even if you die and quit out, will improve teh time it takes.

I have my favourite mechs, adn sometimes I am doing well. other times, Im out in the first 2 minutes. no point in hanging around watching; not in this challenge period.

11 victories to go, can a working man do it?

I did it.

Got home Tuesday night and playing at about 10:30. Finished 12 wins.

Wednesday morning I got an additional 6.

Wednesday night I finished 25 matches by 1:00am.

Sounds easy but with the way matchmaking's been of late, it'll take a hundred matches to make that happen. Nothing fills you with confidence when your team mates spin around in the starting area or trudge off without a word in some odd direction. At least if they said "I'm new, what should I be doing now?" we can get somewhere.

OMG this. It's infuriating, so many newbies that have no clue what they're doing. You know you're going to lose once you see guys spinning around and asking newbish questions. The ELO is much worse lately. What's up with that? I wonder.

LOVE the idea, bit disappointed with the prize, as I already have one :( But, by the name "weekly challenge" it sounds like you're planning on making this a regular thing? Love it!

If you have one 3050 holo, couldn't you use a new one on a new mech? The Victor is just around the corner... Heck, I'm grinding Blackjacks, and don't have a dash-bauble for the one I decide to keep. Not sure why the counter is delayed, or by exactly how much (sometimes immediate updates, sometimes 5 mintues?), but I've gotten wins when I live to the end, die early, spectate to the end or dc right after death. I even crashed to login ("The session was lost"!!) but the team won without my mediocre help and I got a win-count-bump. I like the new improvement to the game, don't mind the re-use of an existing item as the "prize", as this is just the beta test of a whole achievements feature set and some prize needed to be used. I just need to get 5 more wins after work...

The 3050 hologram is cool. Now I'm just hoping for a hologram of that Atlas in this challenge!
