I am so sick of the matchmaker putting me in scrub teams to appease affirmative action! I am sick to **** of getting put on teams where my team goes off in 6 other directions. I am sick of being put on teams that dont go back to the base if is being captured. I am so sick of the mismatch tonnage. Im sick of getting the same map 10+ times in a row!

I logged in tonight and played 5 matches.... 5 losses all because ^

I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING others know what they are doing, stop putting team players in teams with *blanking* scrubs!!!!

p.s. this is to pgi unless your them dont expect a response.

The matches are predictable as the responses this will get from to over 30's so....

p.s.s

Awesome story

you should not have to grp with premades to have a good time.

I am awesome therefore its not me

I was calling the elo broken long be4 they announced it was, while the ones with something unsmart to say below were calling it fine. So I have a 2 legs to stand on.

Open beta is live with out the pride or confidence in a product to call a spade spade. In other words an excuse that does not fly in today's gaming community.

There are no other games to play, this is the only one ever in the wide wide world.

This is a game. A game is meant to be fun. You dont seem to have fun and enjoy it -> stop playing.

I don't think anyone ever said that ELO was going to be the perfect answer to all of our woes.

I've definitely noticed that there are a lot fewer one-sided stompings than there were back in the early days (8-Atlas premade vs random pugs, anyone?)

Having said that, I agree that it still needs some work. The idea of averaging out people's scores and running with the result can't be the best way of doing things.

As for people just running off in different directions; part of that is poor command/communication systems, part of it is the game types that we've been given and part of it is just, well, it's pugging.

You're losing because you aren't in a 4-man and you are playing against 4-mans in virtually every drop. That's the way it works. The player base is too small for the match-maker to be effective.

Have you tried looking for a group to play with? There are plenty of helpful and very freindly clans out there who would be happy to have you join.

If you don't want to play as a group then I would strongly suggest you give up now - because quite frankly teamwork is OP and despite PGI's best efforts to nerf it *cough*ECM*cough* there isn't a lot they can do to stop it...

Soooo.... Essentially you're "Sick and tired of being sick and tired"? :D

Sorry OP but there are thousands of players in the same boat and while not always ideal, the majority seem to persevere. I do not mean to be overtly sardonic but sometimes one has to look at the "common denominator", that being you.

While I appreciate "you" know what you're doing while others appear to be clueless knuckle draggers... If "you" choose to not make a concerted effort to play off of one or more of them, beit trying to form a sort of symbiotic teamwork or simply using them as a distraction... You are as much part of the problem as they are.

TL:DR - You might be the smartest best player in the room but if you don't tactically utilize the mouth-breathers, your personal enjoyment of MW:O will continue to suffer.

I don't play with groups because I often am not able to play matches back to back and I don't want to make people wait on me. Despite that I do pretty well, won 4 of 6 last night. I often take command of my lance or the team if it looks like there is a lack of leadership. If the other lance is a 4 man group I usually take command of my lance and support them. Even if you don't take command you can still advise when to push or flank or fall back and doing any of those at the right time with some semblance of coordination can win a match.

So maybe if you show a little leadership, even if it is just laying out a basic strategy, you might see your win rate improve if you are as awesome as you think you are. Some people will resist you , of course, but most people want to be part of the team.

1.get group and be carried by voice
or
2. get better at warbossing via chat
or
3. get better at carrying pugs/lone-wolfin

Matchmaker just tries to set up matches where team-elo-rating sum is comparable. It does not put you in matches where everyone has ~your elo.

Doesn't really come across that way.

Even when I communicate it's mostly ignored.

Unless you are actively using a 3rd party voice program, the game itself. As in MW:O does not play like any other team game I've ever played because it's in the dark ages...no I take that back, it's in cretaceous period of social tools for multi-player games.

On top of that, why would anyone listen anyway? The game has no true objectives aside from killing people.

Sorry ultra pessimistic today.

Why?

Because regardless of the mission catalyst the end result is to win... AND because teamwork...

Even the rudimentary primordial iteration possible with the cretaceous period chat implementation is better than running around Hellen Keller / Rambo style. :D

I too have reached this ELO hell, where I'm getting teamed with too many clueless noobs because of my ELO.

But then I started looking at it as a chance to improve even further, as well as an incentive to team up.

LOL! You are overly pessimistic today ain't ya?

I know your desire for a grandiose social sub-structure in this game jades any reasoned discussion regarding the chat system as implemented. That said... "something" is always better than "nothing" (Unless we are talking kicks to the groin... then "nothing" always wins) :P
