I am in agreement wit the OP. My record sucks because I get put on lousy teams. 9 times out of 10 I am the last person standing if I am playing a Light Mech in Assault mode, and quite often in Conquest as well. When I play an Assault Mech I am usually one of the first ones dead because all the scrub tards go running off when the enemy is moving towards a specific location that I have pointed out.

Also, I am fed up with being put in teams with super baddies who do less then 100 damage in Assault Mech's while I am pulling 200+ in a Jenner. I am not the best player, but if I am the last one alive or I am the one pulling the most damage on my team, there is something wrong.

If that assault was not supported, or the scout did not warn that a full lance was coming around the corner and he walked right into it, what do you expect? As for your damage, if you survived til the end then you pretty much had free reign with a few popshots at you here and there, allowing you to actually do damage as you fly by.

But then you are in a light, you are not in anything heavier taking the lead, one way or another. People learn by experience, provided they are shown the way. But wait, tis not your job..someone has to do it but if all someone can do is to complain about how the system is treating them, that is the lesson everyone else learns...

For my viewpoint, attitude and tone, I am among many here who actually gamed and worked with and through the community of the previous MPBT. MW this and that were simply lobby games for most with no want or need for community aspect and if people approach MWO that that same goal they will reap what they sow...

You're losing because you aren't in a 4-man and you are playing against 4-mans in virtually every drop. That's the way it works. The player base is too small for the match-maker to be effective.

Oh christ, the sky is falling. I agree with jeff... :-/

My point is that people don't pull their weight, they do stupid things like running into enemy groups and getting blown up, or they all just hide behind hills and either poptart (which I still see happening a lot) or they just poke themselves out enough to get some shots off. With how high LRM damage is right now, it doesn't surprise me that people play that way. I enjoy playing multiple different styles of combat, whether I play long range fire support with missiles, close quarters combat in a light or medium, or further out with an assault, I am always willing to fight and lead the teams unless someone else leads first. I know there are a lot of veteran MW online players who play MWO, but that number is a small fraction compared to all the newer players and less experienced Mech pilots. I was in a match earlier today where my entire team followed me, then hid behind cover when the enemy approached and I was calling out locations, they didn't even budge. That is how bad people are at this game, if you don't intercept, you aren't going to do damage, if you don't think strategically and learn how to do things like flank, you are going to lose games.

Matchmaker just tries to set up matches where team-elo-rating sum is comparable. It does not put you in matches where everyone has ~you elo.

Wouldn't it be stupid awesome if it did that reversed tho and did just pick people with the same elo +/-100...

but that's just too obvious i guess.

I currently have a 50% win lose and K?D ratio in pugs....what's the problem? in pre-mades it considerably higher. pugs are harder...more challenge...
