I don't want to sound mean but you shouldn't give 200 bucks to a game before testing how it plays (especially if it is Beta). Unfortunately I cannot help you at all since I am no tech guy but since MC don't expire, you can wait for them to fix it. Every second Tuesday they patch the game. You can also wait till launch (late Summer I believe, could be mistaken) since by then they will have (hopefully) fixed all major bugs. I know all I am basicly saying is "wait" but I cannot offer any better advice.
Good luck.
I understand what you mean. but I threw my 200 at the game before their stupid crashing started happening. the crashes have really only started happening in the last 2 months. Sadly pgi doesn't give a **** about those of us who actually pay for the game, and feel free to ignore us. I have paid for at least 3 months of premium where at least half of that is unplayable due to crashes. Basically they will never get another dime from me. but at least this game is somewhat fun compared to the other games I have paid for like WoW and ToR. Would just be nice if i could actually get my money's worth.

Crash to desktop right, NOT to mechlab? Why did you throw money at something if it never worked on your PC and is....free?

To start off though, what are your system's memory settings? Many are set too aggressive. Drop settings back to default/min, no turbo/etc. If you have lots of ram, run with the minimum amount and test, both with game and with Prime95.

How do I run with minimum amount of ram, without opening my case and taking ram out?

Sounds like the people over on BSGO... anyway..
Im having random crashes from time to time... WIth no error... No log.. Just complete freeze ... It can happen in mechlab... It can happen loading.. It can happen in dropship... Or in combat....
I have been unable to determin the cause of this yet... But i am working on it... Im starting to monitor packet loss now... as I saw it mentioned a few times... ALTHOUGH... unlike most of the players i see... MY ping is normally under 20Ms... so i doubt that its a loss on my end... But reguardless i think its a good place to start..
I also started running the game on low settings mod... This helped a lot.. But for some reason... ITs still random as ever..
IDK.. Ill get back to ya

You would need to open up the case for the ram, ya not able to teleport it yet

What is the brand/model number of your motherboard?
As for pings, that is only showing ya how quickly ya bouncing back from the server but it does not indicate packet loss.
