]Dear Developers, PGI and IGP!
The german MWO community is organizing a private tournament in which only dedicated mechs in stock loadout are permitted.Concerning more information on the event organized by paxmortis please see the post:
http://mwomercs.com/...sic-tournament/
In short the german community agreed on a list of "legal" mechs, with specific loadout, Every team is allowed 450t and every chassis-variant is only allowed once.
I just wanted to let you know, that a lot of people are playing 8vs8 more enthusiastically with these self made restrictions. At the moment 14 Teams ranging from 12 to 70 Players per team take part in the tournament, in total more than 300 participating players. These gamers are really fascinated by this game mode. The number of players interested in playing MWO this way is steadily growing. This gets very obvious when you follow the above stated post. Also if you check the activity in the 8vs8 queues during the scheduled trainings for sync-drops of 3025 teams you should see an increase in activity.
The tournament starts soon and of course will end when a winner is determined, but the german community agreed to have a 3025 Thursday after the tournaments ends, just because it is so much more fun to play this. It feels different from the PPC/laser loaded, optimized builds. We find it feels much more like battletech.
I hope this input helps you to keep a very critic eye in the development of the game. I do not expect you to just cancel every 3050 tech it is also fun to play. But there are many problems with the great variety you allow in customizing of the mechs. I think 3050 should feel a bit more like our 3025 games. Also an optional queue for PUG and 8vs8 matches with "stock only" would be a nice idea. Perhaps you are interested to join in some stock mech matches to get the feeling for yourself.
I am big fan of your game, thanks for the work and I hope you are interested in our new experience with playing 3025 tech.
With best regards
DrRip
P.S. Please note this email is my private opinion and not the opinion of the german community.
