For a ride more likely to be available during the MWO timeframe, though the Gabriel is intriguing I think the Lightning would be more fun.

The way I see it, vehicles are always going to be vulnerable. The best way to ensure your survival is to move fast at all times, sort of performing a light horse-archer cavalry role.
This is true. Bandit is 3058, but I'm loving hearing everyone choices. Aerospace included. If I stayed in 3048-49... gosh... I have to get home and crack some techmanuals. But I'm with you, fast and agile. Alacorns quickly became turrets, and then burnt out husks... but oh god, when they got you with that long range kiss....

Hovertanks? SM1 Tank destroyer for that 151kph mobile ultra 20 goodness...

VTOL, the Aeron looks like it would be fun to fly and do some striking from behind building cover in. (plus it makes me think of the Mossie)
Aerospace, it's all about the Jagatai. Hands down my favorite fighter.
...As for other 'vehicles', I'd love to take the Interdictor from the Dropship category (pocket warship ftw!), and the lovely Clan refit of the Sovetskii Soyuz from the WarShip category.
(And if BattleArmor could be considered a vehicle, Elemental all the way!)

Similar designs. I use the Pegasus in 3025, and use both once the Plainsman is available in 3030

1x motorcycle
1x climbing harness
2x satchel charges
Say... forget to mount antipersonnel pods on that 'Mech? Well, I think I'll just have to have a conference with your knee actuators.
(Works best in urban settings where I can be waiting behind any given corner for you to walk past. I'll

Cause if I could end a mech fight by dropping a few thousand tons of dropship on it's head, I think that's the way I'd go.
