Von Luckner or Challenger X would be the first tanks that come to mind. Both are dangerous and a match for even a heavy mech 1 on 1.

The Regulator is also a very nice tank, mixing a Gauss Rifle with extreme speed that makes some VTOLs cry of envy and good armor for a 45ton vehicle.

If I could bring a tank to a mech fight, my first choice would be the Epona Pursuit Tank. 150kph, lots of weaponry, and decent armor to boot. On tabletop, the C variant is a CERPPC moving at 14 hexes per turn; it's an evil little thing.

Second choice would be the Alacorn Mk VI.
