I think I'd take a McKenna class warship.
On a more serious note, Savannah Master. You just can't beat a 200 km/h medium laser.

Big believer in orbital bombardment.
However.. I like the Challenger for a heavy tank. But I have a soft spot for the DI Morgan (Gauss Variant) - 3 x Gauss Rifles mounted in the Turret, which is linked to Targeting Computer and C3 Slave.
OMG!!!.. Imagine 3 gauss rounds screaming downrange

This seems kinda like saying "If you had to take a knife to a gunfight...", but okay, for the sake of argument, I'll play along: either the Oro (HAG version), Roc protomech, or the Clan Battle Armor.

An Atlas wouldn't stand a chance against this.

My vehicle of choice in a situation that involves 100+ ton mechs. Weak and small, but when it gets close enough- it'll ruin your day.
...or this (on serious note )
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Gabriel
...because it's a small vehicle and fast enough to GTFO.

Sabutai or Sulla.
Or a Yellow Jacket, if Aerospace is off the table. Pack a punch and haul ***.
Rommel (Gauss) if forced to go with tracks, wheels, or skirts.
EDIT: Wasn't aware that power armor is a vehicle. If it is, then screw the flyboys and the tankers. Tengu, Rogue Bear, or basic Clan Elemental. Or a Salamander, if I can swap out a flamer for something more general purpose, like an AP Gauss rifle or MGun.

Bring a vehicle to a 'Mech fight? I wouldn't.
As a conversation once went:
"Only a heathen brings a gun to a sword fight"
"Only a moron brings a sword to a gunfight."

Well, at the risk of being burned at the stake as a heretic, my armored vehicle and AeroFighter of choice come from the Dark Age and the Jihad respectively.
Marksman M1 Main Battle Tank - In my foolish youth, I played ClickyTech, and this tank saved my bacon more times than I care to count. She won't set any land speed records, but she'll take a licking and keep on ticking, and then blast whatever it was up against into rubble besides.
Striga OmniFighter - I have to admit, I fell in love when i first saw this in TRO:3075. The sheer amount of firepower that can hang off that ship is astounding. Inasmuch as I find the Wobblies distasteful in the extreme, they do know how to design a war machine.
Now, that all having been said, I do have options I like from the more traditional CBT timeline. Hopefully the fact that I include these will convince you all to put down those pitchforks and extinguish your torches for now.
Patton Tank - First off, say what you will about the man, but I would never in a million years want to have to fight George S. Patton, and certainly not in a tank battle. Thinking about what Patton would think of 31st century armored vehicles, let alone full-scale BattleMechs, hardly bears thinking on. And I think he'd have approved of his namesake tank, as well. With a LRM launcher and an A/C 10, the Patton tank can do some decent damage at range, then scoot right off to another spot where it will do it all over again. Shoot, Move, and Communicate.
Stingray AeroFighter - I think of the Stingray as the X-wing of the BattleTech universe. The X-wing starfighter was once described as a "near-perfect blend" of firepower, shields, maneuverability, and speed, and I think that the Stingray has the same formula. And one of the things I really like about the base Stingray is that it's an energy boat - as long as your ship is holding together and you have fuel, you can hang in the fight - no ammunition worries. And it's not like the Stingray gives up firepower for that, either - two medium and two large lasers plus a PPC is a good amount of firepower for a medium BattleMech, let alone an AeroFighter.

I'll take a Zentradi Battle Pod!
... oh wait, that's a Marauder, ****!. I think if I really had to take a vehicle to a mech fight, I'd take a tunnel drill, burrow into a mountain, and just wait for it to end. I've brought a vehicle to a mech fight! It's not as if I haven't already died of shame!

Regulator hovertank. You just have to respect something that moves that fast and carries a gauss rifle..
Or... I know it's not cannon, but what the heck... A Yellowjacket packing an UAC20.
