meh... i've being poptarting and i find the change to be correct. As long as it is difficult, i have no problem fighting vs. poptarters, nor doing it myself.

I shot a Cataphract with a shotgun UAC5 (on Blackjack)

Perfectly acceptable IMO.

Personally I think the shake as it is now is fine. However, with the limited firing options mid-air, I think the flight time should be prolonged. Maybe a 15-20% increase in jumpjet power to offset the shake.

Longer flight, better options for positioning, escaping, whatever.

Time to adapt poptarts... That's what you told everyone when we complained about your absurd tactic and meta abuse.

Its your turn! ADAPT ALREADY!

JJs giving you a headache? Don't use them. Take more breaks. You had your way and made the game pretty miserable for myself and some others I know...now its your turn to pay the price for your absurd tactics. JJs are for map navigation, not to pop up from behind a ridge and alpha over and over. Gone are your days of taking the fun out of the game!

You can't adapt to physical changes like this. It's one thing to nerf weapons or equipment but creating an actual discomfort will reduce the player base for sure. How about showing us where it says JJs are for navigation only. You can't because that reasoning is stupid.

PGI might have more of a problem when there is discomfort when playing. I didn't have any before, now I do. It could be very harmful to some. I'm sure PGI does not want to here about that.

Attacks by a Jumping 'Mech

Jumping makes a 'Mech harder to hit, but the accuracy of weapons fitted to the jumping 'Mech is also adversely affected.

Sorry but JJs were being abused to hell and back by every nooblet and their troll dog to make the game not very enjoyable. JJs are PRIMARILY for navigation. To think even for a second that a heavy or > mech with JJs would be a stable firing platform like it has been, well, you're nuts! What's stupid is actually believing that JJs and the "poptarting" was fine. QQ some more then adapt. You'll feel better after a good cry.

This patch is bringing back more than its repelling, I can promise you that, ALOT OF PEOPLE stopped playing because this was turning into MW4 HD, now its starting to show some promise.

This, absolutely. Poptarting gives a clear and unambiguous advantage to the person using it, so why shouldn't it be hard to do well?

Wait, what can't you adapt to? The shaking stops when you cut out the jets, so adapting means fine-tuning your aim and firing while at the top of your arc or while you begin to free-fall back down. The Testing Grounds are...

...=====> thataway.

Oh, and if the shake is uncomfortable may I offer these old words of wisdom?

"Hey Doc, it hurts when I do that..."

"Well, stop doing it!"

"Oh...um...thanks, Doc"

The poptarts are finally out of the toaster, and now there are enough tears on the forums to wash them down with. With the SRM changes it promises to be the return of the brawler. This patch fixes a lot more things that have gone wrong in the game in recent history.

I dont normily agree much with this wining community but I have to agree can we find another way or try different ways? until we can come up with something? I am very open to ideas.
While jumping the guns point everywere not even the area yur pointing. I dont think this would be a skill if you could not do it at all.
Great Development tho.

Reduce the visual shake.. keep the reticule moving is fine.

Otherwise, this game could be sued into nothing due to people getting sick.

actually in table top there are penalties for firing while jumping and jump jets produce their own heat. if i remember correctly the JJ firing penalties are some of the worst movement penalties associated with firing.
