Exactly... there was little reason to ever use Dragon even now... after the patch, there won't be any unless this mech has some serious downside compared to it.

at least the dragon didn't bring me the disappointment that the quickie did, and I already have a Catapult C1 I don't need a humanoid shaped one too.

I thought this too. The more I think about it though, the less I agree. For one , you have the jets and added energy & missile hardpoints. But frankly, that's minimal.
I think the main difference will be in the hitboxes. The Dragon's CT is enormous. Some call this an outright weakness, but it's also its main strength - such a large CT means the two side torsos are meager. And that makes XL engines more useful on the Dragon than on any other non-light mech, by far.
The quickdraw doesn't seem to share this trait; it's side-torsos seem to be more on the level of a Centurion's. XLs probably won't be too safe on it. So whereas the Dragon is a harasser, I'd guess the QD will become more of an outright striker. Higher alpha, lower speed, but more overall mobility with the jets.
It would also be nice if we finally got ONE ECM-capable mech that wasn't either an Atlas or a light(Cicada is a light, let's face it)... but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Maybe there will be one with ECM? (I think there is one version with it...)

Still no Orion though...

Yhea which is mostly true until the Flame comes into the picture, I LOVE that thing. Set it up as a MAD 3R minus 15 tons and lotsa fun.
Which brought up a thought for me: as far as 'mechs that can be rendered into the equivalent of Unseen, I think this one might have more potential than most to have a hero model that can be a ShadowHawk. Yeah I know a lot of people think its bland and average but there are some of us who like it and do well with it. Food for thought though.

Probably for the same reason a bunch of Liao 'mechs make their ways into the hands of mechwarriors with more than half a brain. Cataphracts of Davion for example.

This Quickdraw looks good and it may be rather interesting. Unfortunately I have the feeling it's going to replace my mediums, I love my Dragons and often use those instead of my hbks/trenchs/Cents, but this one takes the best of a 4SP and adds 10 tons with huge engines! /me likes

If you look at the original artwork, the belt has a circular one shot 4 missile slot. In Alex's rendering, it's and SRM4 horizontally placed instead of circular.
