Titan makes the most sense if you're running a triple monitor setup, where that actual GPU power would be helpful, and the additional VRAM is necessary.

Do many game still not support SLI because I see it as an issue on many game forums.

On a side note, your upgrading from a 2500k to a 3820? Why? You won't gain any performance worth the price tag of a socket 2011 rig. You'd be better off just getting a 2600k or 2700k and keeping your current MB if you really feel the need for hyper-threading, which is the only advantage the 3820 has over the 2500k. And hyper-threading doesn't offer crap for performance gain in gaming. This coming from the owner of two i7 rigs (i7 860 and i7 2600K)

Don't waste the money, just upgrade to a 3930k and be done with it. You're not going to see much of a performance gain between sandy E and ivy E, and if Ivy-E overclocks like Ivy bridge. . well. . . let's just say the Sandy-E has some definitive advantages. The 3820 only has 4 cores and isn't unlocked. as bclk overclocking is essentially dead and given your cooling solution, I'm a little confused as to why you'd put yourself in that position to begin with.

Anyway moving to a LGA2011 in prep for Ivy-E isnt a bad move tbh. If u cant afford u dont want to bother with a 6core i7 on sandy then the 3820 is ur only option.
Just dont be suprised if Intel decides to pull a fast one and increase the pins to make a new socket to force people to buy new motherboards. Though tbh i dont see why they would since they anounced they have pulled out of the motherboard side of things since Haswell.
As for Titan performance on MWO, well i dont have a Titan but i do have a 780, it isnt inside my rig yet, (its sitting in front of me atm) but it will be when i get the last few items that are currently in transit to me for my upgrade. So ill let u know what FPS i get with the 780.

@knight, Congrats on the 780 man, any input you can pass on is much appreciated.

Never really looked into it much in detail, but it runs very cool and flawlessly and my processor load normally sits between 15-20% while in-game (I mean flawlessly fps wise, obviously I still have the usual bugs such as missing textures on frozen city).
It is great, but I would imagine you would be better off waiting for a cheaper option. I didn't build my rig expressly with gaming in mind, and it is rather costly by a gaming computers standards (fantastic for video work and rendering though).

Thanks. yea ill give back feedback when its all sorted. I've been ordering parts for 2 builds. My upgrade, and a new build for a family member, so gotta wait for all parts to come b4 i start building / rebuilding them and then OC'ing starts on the new one.
List of parts:
Intel 4770k (new build)
NH-D14 cooler (new build)
Gigabyte Z87X-D3H (new build)
EVGA 2gb GTX 660ti FTW Signature 2 (new build)
G.Skill RipjawsX 2x8gb 1866mhz (new build)
Thermaltake Chaser Mk-1 case (From my current build to new build)
Corsair TX750m PSU (From my current build to new build)
NZXT Phantom 820 White case (My upgrade)
Seasonic Platinum 1000w PSu (My upgrade)
Asus Xonar D2X dedictaed sound card (My upgrade)
MadCatz RAT 7 MMO (My upgrade)
MadCatz GLIDE 9 pad (My Upgrade)
EVGA GTX 780 ACX (My upgrade) < Will likely swap it for the ACX Classified when it releases in a couple weeks.
So yea ..lots of parts lol.
Oh and i also added a Belkin Notebook Cush Desk to the list. I have my current mouse mat on my lap using a small composite chopping board for rigidity, but the new pad is HUGE and i needed somthing bigger, the notebook cush thing is perfect for it.

GO for downsampling, man, your rig has the ooomph for that.
I torture mine sometimes with 2880x1620 squeezed onto my 24" 1920x1200 for screenie purpose but I miss the fluidity of my normal resolution so its hard to play with that big resolution for longer.
But your rig could stomach that easily as far as I see from your components, plus it is nice on the eyes with all that reduced aliasing ^^

my 3930k rig will do the same. . with 1866 9-10-9-28, 32 gig across 8 slots. In addition, I have 2 extra cores and 2 extra threads ^^
I guess I just don't understand the point of going with a quad core hyperthreaded 2011 over a 3770/4770k. I *ALSO* wouldn't count on soldered on caps with Ivy-E. Of course only time will tell, but at least you know exactly what you're getting with Sandy-E, and for the overall cost of a 3820 and the next ivy. . . you could probably get a 3930k and be done with it.

You don't think there will be new chipset for IB-e when it's released? Just like there was for IB? Sure, you could run your new IB-e CPU with the older Z79 chipset, but I doubt you'll get all the benefits of the new CPU. Just like if I ran a 3770 on my Z68 chipset board.
