there u go with that similar train of thought, maybe people are learning how to play now that poptarting has been looked into. Maybe those said people have done nothing to develop mech control or situational awareness or whatever keeps you alive in battle, they still are lacking the necessary skills to come out on top. thanks to much effort spent poptarting. I should give them a week or two to learn to play without a huge crutch like poptarting. than see where the chips fall.

well than you fit inside the box with these halfwits. assumption is one of the worst qualities to practise. My ELO and KDR has little to do with the fact that most of the players to join in the last 3 months are fulltime poptarts which means they hide, jump and shoot, and are pretty much useless now that poptarting has been addressed, but that doesn't change the fact that they bloated their ELO scores into my turf with exploitation. And im not bragging saying its my ELO is high, but having 2 to 3 members of a squad consistently botch all tactical advantages and give away positions, take pot shots and miss and lead other newer members to gruesome death generally sucks.

sometimes missile boats get the ****** end of the stick u know, when your squad moves away from your position you are left supporting as lrm boats are supposed to....I got picked apart...alone......good observation.......that's pretty handy of you. Anyone who has driven a LRM boat with as few as 2 med lazers for self d against rabid birds and bugs......knows this scenario, seeing as its new to you mayb you should run your mouse more than your mouth and learn something.

When did I say every high ELO player does this , Hell when did I even say I have a HIGH ELO TO BEGIN WITH. I specifically said that 2-3 mechs per match are clearly not in the right place(or suicidal and ready to die). One of these pilots is not like the other, one of these pilots does not belong. And I am sure some of those clueless wonders managed an ELO score near mine through simple milking it or if u want to go that far as to say exploitation. they still need to develop pilot skills standing still and using JJ to shoot shouldn't be a primary method of control or experience in a mech. walking........aiming......shooting........using terrain as cover, baiting targets marking targets precision piloting. you damn slack jawed yokals.

For the purposes of explaining why I don't see trial battlemechs these numbers provided below have been slightly adjusted.

You know what I never see when I play assault battlemechs? Cadets with trial battlemechs. Why? Because since this ELO system was implemented, I've watched my win/loss ratio drop from 6.0 (before ELO) in assault to 3.0 (in ELO). Which means, I'm getting closer and closer to true competition, and is why I never see cadets in trial battlemechs.

Though, I will say when I've sync dropped 8's against a group that does NOT play 8's it takes forever to match us up....because my clan plays 8's often and we love winning.

I imagine the matchmaker is like "that's an option, NO NO NO they'll get roflstomped" and it repeats this until it says "that's an option, NO NO...but they've been waiting so long...OK matched" and then we roflstomp.
