So i just bought a Quickdraw and i was trying out some builds that let me say didnt work, so i went back to mechbay and started thinking about builds that might work, and i found my self coming to the same conclusion every time PPC, and it feels like this when i think about it almost every time i try to think of a optimal build that i can be competative in PPC,PPC,PPC and i think its boring, i wanna use other weapons and still dont feel like iam nerfing myself and or making the game harder for me.

Dude, try large pulse lasers. I heard they're overpowered.

2.5 damage SRMs might have made the quickdraw unique and useful

Everyone needs to get on them to fix Advanced Zoom.........zoomed lasers would bring back ERLLs, longer range ACs and to a smaller extent, the AC/10 and Large Lasers.

The missile hardpoints on the Quickdraw suck (center torso anyone?). So it is basically either boat PPC's or MLas. Guess which fits the current meta?

I was planning some ppcs as well on the new thing, until they won't add up more options like usable SRMs and make the pulse lasers lighter (yes lighter, I don't care about TT weights) we'll enjoy a different game.

When I get home these are the builds Ill try even with the gimped SRM's

1st:

ERppcx2
2 Med lasers or Med pulse lasers
2SRM 4s and SRM 6

2nd"

2 Large Lasers
2 Med Lasers
SRM4
LRM 20
Possibly Tag

3rd
2 er Large Lasers
4 med pulse
1 SRM 4

If SRMs arent floating it (Which im pretty confindent wont) switching them to streaks.

How about exercise some restraint and punish PGI for being fail by not buying anything?

I guess that would require backbone tho.

if you have the cbills no reason not to spend Jasen....

but personally I played 3 games in my new quickdraw, realized the meta has not changed at all, and quit the game

I think the player base is shrinking, that should be enough to wake PGI up

Not to mention Quickdraw is too big for a 60 tonner. PGI modeling department had goofed it up.

I have to respectfully disagree. Not buying their stupid new mech because they completely failed at every single thing else (except the SPL buff), added to MORE ******* PROMISES... would probably send a real clear message.

I think this patch just did it for me and a lot of people I know... we were just discussing this patch last night.. We were expecting something.... _SOMETHING_... we got... NOTHING.

Smurphy has been updated. I looked and started down the PPC road, but don't want another PPC mech. I think I am going to stick with the two large, and four medium laser config that I came up with, If I cave and buy one. Not much in terms of wiggle room with that mech.

That's why we get 3PV. That will attract countless of new players to MW:O.

You know it's funny. I would try a Quickdraw, but as I've Mastered my Highlanders I've realized, mechs without Elite and 2x Basics (and really Mastered as well, since there are 3+ good modules/consumables) now, it's not worth just buying one.

It's stupid that I'm actually disincentived by their system to purchase mechs.

I am pretty sure 80% that I am skipping over this mech and waiting for next month. I also skipped over the Black Jack as well as it's not my style either. Not sure what the next Medium is (guessing Hoplite or Dervish) but we'll see about the Victor as it's a 10 ton lighter HGN IMO and I already have 3 of those. Also want to buy 3 fleas and master 1 (sell other two after basic).

Yeah I've mastered Highlanders and Centurions. I'm definitely not jumping out every 5 seconds to buy a new mech type.

I doubt most people are.
