Odd, played 2 games today, I know 1 my team won, had to leave the other early, under my profile I see:

Not everybody has 'weekends' off. This is a 24hr world and people work all hours and days.
Stop the complaining already. :)

Doing this challenge today I've reached one of two conclusions.

1) Assault is a lot easier for me to win (despite it actually being my lower win/loss ratio)

Or..

2) Later in the day the matchmaker really likes to mess with me with really bad teams. (like an atlas running caps on the big snow map)

Nice challenge. But I think it would be better to reward challenge winners with some rare stuff. I mean not those items, that can be bought for MC's. The callenge award is a trophy, reminder of gained victories, so it should be truly special. Maybe a golden cup, hanging medal or a banner with some special drawing on it.

Ok, so is this like a "fiscal workweek" as compared to some companies ending the fiscal year in October? I understand that not everyone gets weekends off and all, but why is it called a "weekend" from Tuesday to Friday exactly??

My feedback:
On the home page of the game client, right in the middle is the banner ad for this challenge. Now, it isnt blatent, but exiting a match today as I glanced over it...

I dunno, might want to reshape where the atlas covers the letters.

Otherwise, I already did all my assault style matches and 3 conquest tonight in a few hours. maybe I am lucky, but I doubt it. I took LURMAGEDDON Awesome 8R for assault and my speedy laser hunch for conquest so far. My teams have been reasonable, only one or two total derp squads, so that is a big plus.

I just like how hard people try when stuff like this is on. Lots of close matches.

Dear PGI,
My rapidly increasing pile of C-Bills and I would like to thank you for another challenge. Completed and done.
The choice of prize is a good one - although some unique items to avoid the wailing and gnashing of teeth from those who put cash on the barrelhead...just a thought.

Just completed the challenge. I think I enjoyed this one much more than the last one, which is silly because they are rather similar. :)

Even more boring is winning by capture on Assault mode (2 to 3 minutes). 6 out of my 10 Assault wins where by capture.
Think this might need to be looked at for future challenges, for those that want a real battle.

Either that or players will finally wake up to the fact that you can also defend your own base...

I mean lets be honest... during these types of challenges it shouldnt be too hard to figure out where the enemy is aiming for and once that blinking sign and Bettys voice inform you, then you also know for sure that at least one player is standing in a very small area which you know exactly where it is.

this middle of the week thing really limits your pool of players.

^^^^^^This times 1000. You have a massive pool of players that can only solidly play on the weekends. I, for one, work 12 hour shifts, grave yard hours, so I wake up in time enough to get to work. I would love to really participate in these, but for some reason, even after a few of us spoke up the last time, you seem to wish to segregate and alienate this particular group.

You could always type in teamchat... "Want to kill all the opponents? Then lets hide close to our base and have some fun".

Ambushing them is much more fun that blindly running to the center and waiting for them to pass you from a completely different direction.... plus. the bigger the map, the less backup the fast mechs will have once they reach your position.

Of course you could do this - if you did not get a team which either wants to cap themselves or just has a pea-sized brain. If half of your team wants to go cap, you will not stand a chance defending your base if the enemy pushes with the entire force, not even if you ambush them.
And even if you get all of them to actually defend, at least 3 of them will run out and engage the second they see the first enemy. Of course they will run head-first into the enemy team and get torn apart. The whole "SQUIRREL!!!" thing is not just a funny story, it happens.

Perhaps I am being too pessimistic, but those kinds of performances are exactly what I see constantly.

True... but you could at least have a laugh at seeing them get torn apart due to missing higher cranial function from a diffent perspective.
