This looks like you died very ineffectively. Happens to everyone on occasions.

This really doesn't tell us anything. Maybe you copped a Gauss to the face from across the map. Maybe a teammate shot you in the back when the match started. Maybe you just suck.

I'll be more concerned for the 90 dmg Stalker that's 2-3 alphas top in the whole match ( altought i concede he may suffered high alpha instagib if went commando)

But if the Op survived most of the combat and only was able to pull 3 dmg he plainly sucks

P.S: there is a third option HSR works so well the Op needs to compensate the lack of Lag therefore i suggest you aim *after* the mech and not before so HSR register your shoots properly

Now I'm all for blaming poor skill performance and that because I play with 300ping and do just fine.

BUT

There is just something buggy with the current netcode... I get this "YOU WILL NOW MISS 100%" debuff that lasts for 3-5 seconds and in the meantime I just unloaded almost 50 ultra ac5 shells on an atlas.

I was hitting him dead on because he's right up in my face ,but my reticule stubbornly refuses to turn red.

Low ping does not guarantee that you will not have packet loss.

Packet loss from the firing mech to the server is what causes damage not to register.

Something is consistently wrong at close ranges. I've been in spectator mode and watched lights that are standing still just absorb AC/20 rounds that are well aimed when it's at ranges of 50-60m, and ERPPCs hitting at Atlas (a nice big target) at point blank range and registering zip for damage.

I haven't noticed the failure to register at ranges other than below 70m Syllogy, so I'm reluctant to just dismiss it as purely a packet loss problem.

I came for the "Learn to play"

I was not disappointed.

Combat at distance typically involves smaller and fewer changes in relative direction and location than combat at close range.

Sure, but that doesn't address the times I've seen it against a standing-still opponent, as I previously mentioned in my first post in this thread. The worst example I spectated was a Heavy Metal as he put 3 gauss rounds into a newbie trial spider standing stock-still at his feet, none of them caused damage.

my old wireless connection agrees with this. but there is a horrible problem with this game lately, about half the shots reg. could be that, that HSR has done nothing/made it worse

OP, I think I found the problem, you were playing a medium mech.
