Here's a fun thing I tried when I got bored.

Choose your first mech and drop. Next game pick your second mech and drop.
Go through all your mechs for one drop each.

It really adds a new challenge to the game and might make you a better player.

First, it makes you adapt quickly. I have a hard time adjusting when I switch mechs that have a totally different role.

Second, it helped me learn how to adapt some of my older mechs to the new meta. Some of the mechs collecting dust in my mechbay are way better since i played them before. Or way worse. After a few tweaks they might be fun again.

I had a fun time dropping in my "forgotten" mechs. I will probably spend some time on Smurfy's tomorrow adapting these unused bots and see what I can do.

Update:

My HBK-4SP is still doing well. Even with the SRM6 nerf it still does well.
My HBK-4P with 7 small lasers. Ouch. Still good in a brawl. Needs a a rebuild.
My CN9-AL was OK the last time I played it Now it stinks bad. Way bad. Needs a a rebuild.
My CN9-D is still rocking. UAC5 and 325XL oh yeah.
My CN9-YLW is still good. Better on smaller maps though.
My Stk-3F is OK with 4 streaks for now. Need to add BAP if the meta continues.
My Stk-5M is OK with 4 SRM4's but is kinda weak.
My Stk-5S is lame with 4 SRM6's and 2 AMS but I will not change it yet.

Will update soon.

Cram in some mlas into the HBK-4P and learn to hide between shots.

I do that often. I'd love a mode where every player was assigned a random stock 'mech.

Its funny looking at loadouts you made a long time ago, I saw the other day that I had placed CASE on a mech torso with an XL engine in it. What was I thinking. :)
Its nice to discover ways in which you can improve a 'mech's potential, however.

I kind of do this already, i generally pilot every mech at least once per session.

That said, I had the hardceore "Adapt, Now!" version earilier.. I wanted to swap out modules, and had to cycle through my mechs to find the one I was looking for.. found it, for got to switch it over to the intended mech, and clicked launch.

Imagine my surprise when after hours of speedcapped ERLL Spider gameplay I suddenly dropped in THE slowest (and most heavily armed) mech I own, My atlas D..... :) ;)

Normally I spread out my playtime pretty evenly between mechs, but I am getting as much use out of my AWS-8Q and HBK-4P as I can before the patch makes them both useless.

Too many mechs to even get through in one evening >.< and soon the Quickdraw will be added to the collection. The thing is I tend to either build something that lasts or I get bored and go tweaking my older mechs into new builds that work, e.g. I just rebuilt my 3A commando out of it's twin srm4's into twin LRM5's, discovered that my commandos never got the DHS upgrade so it was tight on heat but highly effective.

I tend to rotate through two or three mechs, depending on which ones need experience. I've currently been rotating through my three Centurions, trying to get through to Elite.

Although this is probably a good thing to do every so often - I have my Catapults that have mostly been collecting dust. If only I had enough C-bills to buy all the XL engines that I'd need so that I could just drop in mechs without doing the XL engine shell game. :)

Not enough C-Bills to outfit them all.

With 80 total mechs (every one of the unique 76 chassis variants, with double AS7-D-DC / RVN-3L / Champion mechs), it takes a VERY long time to play them all...again.

I spend most of my time (at least 100 drops or more) in the following variants, and yes I am an 'assault' pilot at heart...

AS7-D-DC (977 matches) 1.48 win ratio; 1.34 k/d ratio
STK-3H (404 matches) 1.60 win ratio; 2.45 k/d ratio
HGN-732 (310 matches) 1.31 win ratio; 1.10 k/d ratio
HGN-733 (188 matches) 1.44 win ratio; 1.32 k/d ratio

I have dropped at least once in 58 of the 76 chassis since PGI started tracking 'mech stats' (before anyone asks, I have dropped at least once in EVERY mech, some before stats for such things were tracked).

This is a good idea and I will try to drop in at least once in each this week, wish me luck. /wink

When you said you had every mech, I was wondering if you were the "I want a cookie" guy. Then I saw your title, and split my pants seams laughing.

The "CookieWarrior" title was the cookie that PGI gave me. They have an awesome sense of humor. /smile

All you guys with all these mechs... and then there's me, with my measly 8 mechbays (and only because a friend gave me money for MC) and 3 mechs, 2 of which have to share an engine.

I finally gave in and decided to stop buying new mechs until I got engines for them all.

It was nice actually. I could buy that STD330 that was perfect for my build instead of forcing a 300 or 325 or 335 into the chassis and then working around the available engine.

My ultimate goal would be to have one spare of every good engine. It will never happen, of course. But I can dream.

Yeah that is where I'm at now too. I'm about 15 engines short, so it will be a while, since I am tweaking as I go.

All my chassis had pretty much 1 engine each (or 3-4 mechs), with a few sharing over 6-7 mechs.

If I want to drop some of these things I gotta grind up some money. I actually finished buying all my standards today (I think). On to XLs :(

I've been doing this since stat patch to see how well each mech does to another variant. Managed to pick the best/favorites now, although I still change it up too.

Sorry to let down fellow Catapult pilots!. :(
