Bunch of Whiney ******* in here.... They gave us new mechs, new champions and fixed some real issues. Some people need to grow up and say thankyou when they are given something for free.

I've spent close to $600.00 on this game and been an avid Supporter but c'mon this is getting stupid. What real issue was fixed? Spiders registering damage properly? HSR reallly working? What about that cockpit shake that was supposed to be reduced? The SRM buff that was promised? Can people with low setting still see every mech across the battlefield? Uber Alphas addressed (really dont care abou that one). Has my car been painted yet? But ok we got our champion mech and a spider statue.

The patch is light because there is probably something quite difficult to overcome. What that is, is anybody's guess. Could be code, rent, salaries, paintball to the work server (happens), whatever.

Or they fired someone and he formatted his drives before they could shuffle him out. Which happens a lot, surprisingly.

Who knows.

I wish it was a 55 tonner though.

the game was more ballanced at closed Beta than now.

Stop looking for things to ruin and fix the real issues.(that you created patching).

PPC is doing more damage and giving less heat than Large Laser
SRM are NOT WORKING
Fix the wallhack you created
and now LPL are ruinned

Glad I stopped at my founders money. Something told me to not get anything and I am glad I did. Wish that something told me before I plopped down my 120 though. Oh well, fooled once as they say.

Wow, I never realized how many indie videogame developers were part of the MWO community! It's like they think they can do a better job or something...

Seriously though, the patch looks fine. I, for one, welcome our new Quickdraw overlords.

I have no regets with the money I spent. I did it to support the game. I just wish they stood somewhat close to there promises. Especially when it comes to damage number modification. What am I really ******** about? The SRM's and hit detection thats all. But I can see why people are pissed about stuff like the Large Pulse lasers. You hardly saw them on the battlefield to begin with. If the Quickdraw handles as crappy as the Trebuchet though yeah you'll see me complaining more thats for sure.

I'm truly wondering if we're asking too much out of these guys at Piranha and IGP. I know what level a lot of the players are expecting.

Is this to fast of a pace for the Dev's though? ( opinions)

On a whole it's a "good" game. It can be improved. I would like to see better game play than more mechs.

On the Quickdraw, I think I'm going to have fun with the 4H variant. Thank you.

And for all those complaining. Try constructive criticism. Tell them the exact problem in a professional manner.

And yes I do have money invested in this game and I view myself as a share holder and want this game to succeed.

Just played a few rounds. I thought today was supposed to be a patch day but I didn't notice anything.

...........................

Oh, there's the patch. Took a few minutes to download, I pressed play, and it told me that it promised to start up in July.

I am not even mad about this patch I am letting my frustrations with the last past 3 months boil over into this thread.

So I posted on twitter basically calling Garth out on his "You might think this is a small patch, but here comes July!". And he feigned innocence. Love it.

I think this statement is quite key to what a lot of the folks are currently going through.

A big part of this build up of frustration has been influenced by being very close to the game during the trials and tribulations of the development process. I'm not saying PGI hasn't done wrong, but I'm also asking some folks to perhaps take a step back and get some perspective. Being completely wrapped up in something, even if it's just visiting the forums on a daily or even weekly basis can shade your perspective with an unhealthy amount of bias, both good and bad. Further, it makes measuring any progress a difficult task in general as you're essentially sitting on top of the thing (ie - watching water boil is always slower than stepping away for a few minutes to do something else and then returning).

In the end, it's worth taking time off from time to time to avoid the build up of unnecessary frustration. :)

Am I the only person laughing his butt off right now? CC post, "We're going to nerf boating weapons." This patch, "Have a new 9 ML Hunchie for a champion mech!" ... Did I lose something in the translation or something?
