Thx, alrdy edited. QD rocks btw. It's fast and durable despite bearing a XL 'cus JJ keep u on ur toes. Dmg is low but constant. Doesn't replace DRG.

One question to those who are complaining "pgi quickdraw meta derp" would you rather have overstuffed bj's with missiles or pocket assaults that could rock multi ppc's rather effectively this patch? I see the "meta shift" as trying to lower the drop weights organically with the draw rather than adding to the problem with the orion

The armor values on the draw don't make for an impressiv poptart, unless you're going to try it from behind enemy lines.......

Mechwarrior 3. It might have been imbalanced as hell for PvP, but it was a PvE game, that didn't matter at all. It had a fun set of missions, good graphics for its time.

Unfortunately, MW:O wants to be a F2P PvP game. And if it wants to be that, it has to have good balance, and ensure variety in its PvP game modes to keep players entertained.

That's just it though, mw with customisation has waaay to many mechanics that dont make the tranisition to realtime easy. As for game mode, people are just too impatient tp wait for cw.

i got the 5k. Put max xl engine on it to make it go 97kph (without tweak) and max armor at around 372. 4 ml and 2 ll. Kinda like my initial bj3 setup.

And I like it. It's very nimble, turns really good and can give mediums and lights huge problems.

I imagine that you can build a very effective medium/light mech killer with medium/large lasers and srms on the other variants.

Only thing I don't like is the size of the thing. the fact that cockpit sits too high in an already tall mech. Can't peak to shoot at things as effective as you can do on a catapult for instance. It does scream ppc's in the current meta, but I like my snipers to be able to snipe without been exposed too much... and you can't do that with this mech.

Most of the "toxic flamers" have been here since closed beta. Do you know how much the game has changed since closed beta?

Not much, really, and the changes PGI has made either don't matter that much(map variant, air/arty strike), or is outright bad(ECM). Oh and it's both hilarious sad to see PGI struggle with LRMs for such a long time and finally when LRMs are balanced, it has almost the same damage as TT.

It might have something to do with CW being delayed two.... or was it three times?

Did you enjoy getting legged over and over? Those legs are so long, every match last night I saw them running around legged till they died. Also, wide torso like a Highlander.

Other than size, the quickdraw seems quite nice.

After spending a week in a hunch for old time sake. I came out kicking A and taking names with the quickdraw. It's to bad profile stats arent showing up for it yet. Definately better than the dragon, even if it is bigger.

just noticed last night that the Quickdraw looks very similar to the highlander. it's almost as if they used the same torso, legs and arms and just tweaked the model a little bit.

epsecially from the back you can hardly tell them apart...

QD barely brings anything new because SRMs at their current state is a bad idea to equip and they should be a good partner for a few medium lasers. Running around with a big-arse 60-tonner (nice work on the scaling there guys, 60 tons should almost equal in size to 90 tons!) that is supposed to be quick requires useful lighter weapons, but except for the mediums lasers the only option is streaks which I despise for their dumb-fire and "I'm just gonna do all damage to CT now" qualities. So what are you to do? Smaller engine, go slower and PPCs. Like we already didn't have that. Get the SRMs to a useful place now devs, For the next patch we're almost at 4 goddarn months of SRM nerf, is that what you consider temporary?

The quickdraw and highlander probably share the same animations that's why they're so similar in size and shape.

Pretty much explains why we didn't get the orion, they haven't even made animations for it yet. Doesn't seem like a lazy cop out at all 0:

I don't understand why they would have to lie about it by saying the quickdraw was more friendly towards the meta or whatever the excuse was

Friendly to meta... that's a nice line. Yea the QD does nothing to change the meta, it's still becoming LRM or PPC boating and with more speed. In essence their easy kills if you can corner them, otherwise slippery foes if they can draw out a battleline in formations, which me and some other pilots have done to win games.
