Join our Heavy vs the World Leaderboard Challenge to win some great prizes and the glory of being the best on the leaderboard. If you opt-in to the challenge, from Friday 21 at 10:30am PDT to Sunday 23rd at 11:59pm PDT we'll be tallying your best 10 matches over the course of these three days in each of the following categories:

• Any Light
• Any Medium
• Cataphract
• Catapult
• JagerMech
• Dragon
• Quickdraw
• Any Assault

The pilot with the best 10 matches per category will receive 1925 ! Call me confused, but:

If it is 'Heavy vs the world', why are there non-heavy categories?

I like that scoring is still undergoing tweaks. The new damage valuation means one assist is worth 450 damage, no? To make up the gap between a kill and an assist you only need 150 damage, which should be pretty doable and should mitigate kill steals.

I do still think that tournaments should have a separate drop mode that only solo players can select. It would be like Random, but labelled Tournament, and only matches played in Tournament mode are tracked for scoring. No need to opt-in if they did this, as anyone dropping in Tournament mode would automatically have his score tracked.

This would help to ensure that groups don't help or troll tournament players, and would keep even those solo players who don't want to mess with tournament participants out of tournament matches (they'd just pick Random, Assault, or Conquest as normal).
