My Back Is Not A Target Range

It's gotten so bad lately that my first move when pugging is to quickly turn around and face anyone behind me.
I had one guy fire a few lasers into my back the other day, I let it go and kept walking, waiting for an apology. Then he followed it up with an AC-20. I turned, waited 5 seconds, no apology came, so I cored him. He then chews me out, calls me a jerk, and says he was just setting up his weapon groups! Some people...
Please, if you really feel the need to fire off your guns at the start of a match, BE CAREFUL. And if you accidentally hit a teammate, quickly say sorry.
In order to balance this growing menace out, I suggest the ability to mark teammates as hostile; if two others also mark them, their tag turns red and a ticket is automatically sent to the devs.
Repeated infringements = the ban stick.

Haven't you heard? Gameplay Balance is the new General Discussion. When the modsquads try to split up this section, we the Forumwarriors will find a new subforum to become our capitol. We shall never be beaten!

FF during a brawl is different from players shooting at the beginning of the game, hitting their teammates that spawned in front of them. Aiming at the ground at their feet or high up at the sky would kinda solve this (non)issue and would also make a lot of sense.

On a serious note I agree. Watch the friendly fire. If you gotta change weapon groups. Go into a corner and play with your buttons and face AWAY from your peeps.

OTOH it WOULD be nice if Betty warned you if you shot a teammate! A friendly did a lot of damage to me yesterday. It was confusion, I knew he thought I was the opponent Stalker that we were both hunting, so it was no big deal. It probably did cause us to lose that really close game, though. Maybe if his Betty warned him that he was shooting a friendly, he would not have shot me as many times before figuring it out!

Stupid is as stupid does and I've no qualms with descending to their level to speak their own language.

And I can see why some players have 0 tolerance.

I was thinking this as well; now that the training grounds - the entire purpose of which is to be a place to test 'Mech loadouts, weapon groupings, control set-ups, and so on - exists, there is absolutely no reason or excuse for firing all of one's weapons into a friendly 'Mech at the beginning of a match outside of attempting a team-kill.
