They are way too ******* good. I had a game the other day where I got matched against 3 goons in the enemy team. They hid in a corner of the map, let their entire team die, then, in a 7x3 situation, legged everyone using super fast Jenners (XL engines i guess?) with flamers. After said trashing, one of them started doing something he defined as "teabagging" by repeatedly turning his mech on and off on top of our metal corpses, the other one slowly destroying every part of our mechs except the core and the last one went to cap our base.

All of this while saying stuff like "Lowtax does not forgive", "Sweep the leg", "Thou shalt cripple and humiliate your enemies, says the Word of Lowtax [tenbux]", "Bathing in the glorious tears of mercy of your enemy is the greatest glory you can achieve - Lowtax, 4:20" and finally "Imagine 3 Jenners on a cliff. Say the first Jenner jumps on you and starts spamming his flamer. The formerly second Jenner becomes the third, the third becomes the fourth, and the fourth falls off the cliff - Johnny, 55:55"

We are doomed. And theres nothing we can do to stop the swarm.

Light mechs would be overpowerful... I did call it. And the cries for nerfage begins....

Now, I can't begrudge that kind of effort.

I will gladly battle with the goons.. Even if they'll probably be kicking my *** ingame.

We DO accept hard assets in place of the even 500 mill. a pair of fully fit battleships would do you just fine.

I think any assets i had are currently unavailable cause of some conquest related to you guys... and i wouldn't pay to get in any group that wasn't rated higher than EPIC.

Thats ok, while I'm pretty sure I'll never go back to EVE, all my stuff is stuck in Delve, except for a mining barge and misc junk in highsec from my carebear days.

Though the fanciest things I ever had were a pair of Hurricanes, a ratting Harbinger and a Minimataar Interceptor I rarely ever used, so who cares?

Aside from the role-playing shenanigans that the table top people come in here with, there is still a major problem with them joining a set house... If the games story line actually does change from the statistics of the matches played by every member of the game... What do you think will happen when a mega-guild that spans many games puts their architecture, logistics, and last but not least pure brute membership behind a single house. While they might not all be the best players that has never really been their claim to fame anyway. The ones that are good can work together and coordinate to lead MANY lances in MANY matches per day. This will absolutely have an affect on the house power balance that has been spoken about in the game thus far. I personally would think that the squad would want to just go straight merc anyway since it seems to fit their m.o..... but if they do join a set house I can guarantee that they will contribute a LARGE variation of points to that house just by statistical matches per day data that they will be able to produce. Of course the devs might already have something in place to make sure that houses with vastly more popular memberships can't overtake all others because of this.... but even then..... Where the Goon swarm goes... Imbalance follows.
