I would like to see all, if not at least two of them in the game. If anyone can remember the comic books name that would be great too.
Griffen
Shadow Hawk
Wolverine
Thunderbolt
I am not to concerned with which version is best, but to be honest I love the Shadow Hawk, and would love to pilot it in the game.
Your thoughts?

1. They are not touching the potential legal issues with a ten foot pole.
2. They are in the process of navigating the treacherous legal waters around Harmony Gold, and will not make an announcement until it's a sure thing.
Just my $0.02, but there's been no official word yet, as far as I know.

What, I said it was not about it. I really want to know, and would love to see some version of these mechs, and I would love to know what that damn comic was called.

Those mechs are not unsee though, they were never in Robotech. They were in some puff in the wind comic book from like 30 years ago. I mean if they are unseen then its not because of the Robotech legal issue.

I believe i have seen someone linking to the FAQ thread that had mention that they are looking into it, but beyond that I am unsure if anything has actually been said one way or the other. http://mwomercs.com/support#faq just search for unseen on that page, this is the only "official" word I have seen.

Those 'Mechs are still Unseen, because the legal issues about the rights to the 'Mech designs were not just limited to the ones that came from Robotech/Macross

If the guys who own the BattleTech license can't get a hold of the license for the originals, I don't know how it would work for the guys with the MechWarrior license. If they wanna give it a shot, more power to them, and best of luck. I wouldn't mind seeing the classics, but I won't be heartbroken if they don't make an appearance either, there's plenty of other chassis to turn into scrap.

Yes. But that very page lists Locust, Shadow Hawk, Thunderbolt, Wolverine, Griffin and Scorpion as actually Reseen unlike the robotech stuff.
IF sarna Unseen and Reseen articles are up to date, those mechs should be legally clear.

Sarna is not up to date on the Unseen/Reseen topics. Those pages were last updated August 8, 2011. Read the link I posted above, that came from August 21, 2011. Sarna is incorrect. However, it does list where the designs came from, which would answer your question.

A lot of the Reseen 'Mechs are legally clear if they were redesigned in Project Phoenix - however, they're also not as popular designs as the original.
That and there can always be issues about the use of the original designs - if the current licensing agreement includes video games, for example.

All those 'Mechs come from a anime series called Fang of the Sun Dougram.
However, there was an American comic book series that used them. It was called Robotech Defenders after the model kits that featured the Dougram mecha.

Whether or not they're technically 'unseen' or not, all four of those designs involved in that whole fiasco, and were 'reseen' under some agreement with someone...presumably, whoever owned Dougram, whatever the hell that was. Either way, similar legal issues abound if the original versions of them are used, unless the copyright on them somehow evaporated sometime recently. As recently as Operation Klondike, they were still considered to be reseen, under some sort of agreement with someone.

Give us the Exterminator 65 ton chassis = Thunderbolt at least most of the var I can get real close.
As long as I can go with slower engine it is doable, yes it will not look the same but will give us a tough brawler for all ranges, that is if the mech lab can handle it and you have the in game cash to buy the parts.

Sad, yes, but this nonsense has been going on for over half the existance of the franchise. So, unless someone has the money to purchase HG, let us trust in PGI & CGL to come up with something. Or let the fan-base vote or have some input on the new images before they become canon.

They did. Those are the Reseen, but we haven't seen them in MWO yet (for some unknown reason.)
