Psa: Stop Posting Scores As Proof Of Anything!

NOONE CARES HOW MUCH DAMAGE YOU DID IN A PUG!!
You aren't proving anything taking your inferior build up against other inferior builds into a busted and invisible ELO match. Nothing.. at.. all. Sure you can get tons of MG damage if the enemy team just ignores you or is too incompetent to find you, it doesn't make them good, people. The same goes for every other thing, in particular when we're talking balance meta and someone chimes in with "See, Large Pulse are great because I did damage! Here's my screenshot!"
Go take your build into a competitive 8-man, or even a 4-man in a PUG and things will not turn out roses for you. It's just the way it is. The bottom line is there are lots of guns out there that do damage, but many don't do it well and you will never, ever get anything close to realistic results if you're fighting random pug games against equally crappy - or even TRIAL - 'mechs.
Oh and one more thing: A really good sniper might inflict less damage than a really bad, say, LBX boat but that concentrated, focused damage where it needs to be still counts for more. So once again, your end of score results mean less than nothing.

But yes, generally no one cares you did 700 damage in an OU mech.

By your attitude in the chat, you deserve every one of those games.

If you have good teammates they will get kills too or weaken enemies so you do less damage before killing.
If you have good enemies but bad teammates they will roflstomp your team and you will end up 1 vs 5 and die in a glorious but short hail of gunfire hopefully taking down 2 of them with you.
That said any game with over 700 damage means you did a good job, heck even 500+ you pulled your weight, but it does not mean you are a great player just better than the random people you were up against.
Now if you have such a game against really good opponents like PEEFsmash, or Phoenixfire55, or Soy or Koreanese then it would be awesome. But normally you see these screenshots with the other team being random names no one has ever heard of.

i'm getting tired of these delusional buttheads, maybe it's about time i stopped talking about abusing the game mechanics and just started doing it because it would certainly solve the majority of my problems.

A comparative effectiveness of anything in particular within the environment of a PUG is valid - so long as that remains the main game style used. As far as I know and understand, PUG gaming is probably the most numerous of games played so far by the majority - so how weapons work within that environment is a valid concern.
If however you are more worried about it being imbalanced in the other teamed atmosphere, perhaps its best to argue to somehow split up the matchmaking so your 4-man teams don't drop with random PUGs. That alone could go a long way towards balancing the disparity between matches many face already.
