The 90 day you can choose when. But yes I agree it does suck that you can't pause it. My last 6 days were lost because I literally sprung a leak in my liquid coolant for the processor. But nothing says you have to start it either. There's some that still have their founder's premium time sitting and waiting on them.

But that's the issue.. I can't tell what I'll be doing daily TOMORROW, let alone over the next 3 months. It's bad enough they want $20 per mech (standard purchases), but to force you to **** away premium time too? I'm just not that into wasting cash. If they had a sane way to use your time, say by day at a time, I'd be all over it. As it stands, I doubt I'll give them $90 when a lot of it will be pissed away. That's just me.

though, based on standard purchasing of mechs for MC, 12 mechs is over $200 (which I'd never spend either)... so it's a "deal" if you're willing to paying cash for virtual assets you don't own and can't resell.

My vote is for Jenner or Stalker.

I do like the little post Star League Jenner (one of the few scout mechs built post SLDF that was actually good)
I also like how the very old Stalker held up to be such a strong design in the lore simply because it was an assault which was known for actually assaulting, it was often the driving force of an assault on fortified positions, it was narrow compared to most assaults with a tremendous amount of overlapping firepower.

I would go with the Centurion. In fact, I would cover all or most mediums first. I assume this is oriented mostly towards newer players and since Medium mechs seem to need the most help, perhaps having some background data will help new players find the right niche for their mech.

  • The Pretty Baby is piloted by one Danielle Peterson (? Seems to be said this is official but damn is it hard to prove) of Chisholm's Raiders. Danielle's looks are supposed to be at odds with her Awesome yet fitting with her Awesome's name (likely for the linking of Awesome and Pretty Baby to describe her as the pilot).

Also, since you seem to be a nice guy, I dusted this off for you. From the original FASA #8603 3025 TRO, page 104, "Notable 'Mechs and Mechwarriors" section:

MechWarrior Danielle Peterson
A member of Delmar's assault lance, Tagaki's Battalion of House Davion's Chisholm's Raiders, Danielle does not look the part of a MechWarrior. Blond and beautiful, she has what many of her comrades call "the knack." Though joking and friendly outside of her 'Mech, when Danielle buttons up in her Awesome, she seems to become one with the machine, able to react as if it were her own skin. This has saved her on more than one occasion when surrounded by enemy 'Mechs. In one instance, she literally skipped aside with her Awesome, the Pretty Baby, to avoid an incoming missile strike aimed at her. Danielle is famous throughout the Sucessor States for her skill in piloting the usually unmaneuverable Awesome.

Ah, thank you. As it's been said I've been going by what I can find in online sources and some of those sources are about as reliable as PGI's bug testing pre-September 2012. Not to say it hasn't greatly improved but at the time it was awful.

I do remember reading something like that, though one version called her "blue-haired and beautiful." Another source referring to her as having auburn hair. Makes the whole ordeal an exercise.

Actually makes the completely PGI-made-up ones an easy exercise, as there's only two or three sources and they usually plagiarize one another.

Danielle Peterson's Pretty Baby skipping to dodge incoming missiles.

No problem. I own pretty much all of the old books, so if you have troubles finding something, give us a shout.

And while we're at it, there's speculation that the Misery is actually drawn from the Stalker used by Wolf's Dragoons Colonel J. Elliot Jameson. From the same book, page 116:

Colonel J. Elliot Jameson
This officer of Wolf's Dragoons is known as a bold strategist. His tactics are simple to the point of eloquence and are almost always effective. Wolf usually assigns him to problem areas that need his careful planning and his Stalker's massive firepower. Jameson's 'Mech is deeply scarred on all sides, and its engine operates inefficiently, but it is still a fearsome machine.

Emphasis added by me. Certainly within the realm of possibility...

That would stand to reason. Given this I think that's pretty much confirmed.

J. Elliot Jamison, commander of Wolf's Dragoons' Zeta Battalion piloted a Stalker for most of his career, serving with distinction during the Battle of Misery and the Fourth Succession War.

Speaking of which.

Finished the blackjacks in terms of footage collecting the day before yesterday. Setting out to collect footage of Trebuchet + Centurion combos at the moment. The delay on the Hunchback vid is the actress.

Chicks sound better. Especially mature women that have a mean streak about them. Besides, every youtube channel right now has some sort of dude or another -- some sound decent, some sound crap. I think my own would kill it.

A friend of hers passed recently so I'm giving her some time. The Hunchback chassis should be up sometime by next week or the one after.

You totally don't want that.

Though someone else from the group, I can think of a couple that could do it well.

Now, far as other stuff related to the videos such as 3D animations, I can do it fairly well and have been since I was much younger. Thinking of having mechs be part of my intro and have written skits for a 'red versus blue' style series poking fun at MWO and its various bugs as well as awesome moments.
Spoiler

I can't wait to get my hands on more of the game materials, I've already begun doing skeletons to animate them.

This happens to be a closed beta Commando; in comparison to the current one there are a fair few subtle differences.

Well... I can't say no to the Cataphract and it's sordid history of Davion running away gleefully with the production plant.

Don't worry, you only need to vote once. Although assorted bumps are definitely welcomed. Got word from the actress, heard a sample she recorded to find out of the mic quality, tone, personality, etc. was sufficient. I'm very pleased with it. Hope the viewers will be too.

In the meantime, ZeProme, I didn't have any luck with my Centurion + Trebuchet runs as the person I paired up with had such a high bracket we were the only mediums against 8 assaults all with gauss+PPC. It wasn't very bright pairing up with someone that had a high kdr/win ratio for that with the current meta. Learned my lesson!

If you still have your Centurion I might have you drop with me in some upcoming matches so that Lordred can get video of the lore Trebuchet+Centurion combo. Or if you have a Treb, I'll pilot the Centurion (as with Lordred being my camera I've started to become rather adept at protecting other mechs). Snag some basic colors for and I'll match the paintjob.

That said: Bumping this up because Lordred got more awesome shots; swing by and give your opinions? He's looking for input!

Some quickies to inspire you to click!
