October 15th? What are we, gamers with no lives, supposed to do all summer? Get outside?

Dear Butane, be sure that during 2014 they'll release some sort of faction mech that awards you with 35% cbill bost and 15% loyalty boost. They did this to the Founders when this kind of mechs get you 25% boost while actual heroes award you 30%. The same will happen with faction medallions, post-phoneix ones will be even more effective than those in the pack.

Yet, it can be a good deal in terms of money, but I don't want to pay real money for std variants, and I don't like either the Locust nor the TB. I can't pick up my mechs, I don't give them any money, plain and simple.

I noticed that some mentioned that the Project was P2W in some threads so I started a post in Upcoming Features, but I thought I should share the post here too in the official feedback thread.

But aren't the phoenix mechs going to be available for free through cbills later?

afaik yes. but the (hero) have unique geometry, cbill, and faction bonus available and these mechs will never be offered again like the founders mechs!

Hmm...

An army of ants was just here, they were armed with what appeared to be tiny laserguns. They said they`d go away if I gave them 80$. Thankfully, I just got my paycheck today, so I said, "Sure, knock yourselves out."

Then they left a black star on a red blackground on my table and told me to play more MWO, it would be worth it they said. That`s when I noticed they were all wearing backpacks that had a PGI logo on them....

They apparently were very serious and not at all drug induced or fictitious.

12 reseen mechs (something most of us believed would never happen), including my beloved Shadow Hawk (though not as a LAM, but I'll survive somehow),
4 of them hero mechs w/ additional loyalty boost, 1 per weight class
WITH mechbays
4 faction medallions
and 180 days of premium time
for 80 bucks?

Wow, just wow, quite possible the best deal they`ve ever put out there for us to qq about and spend wild money on. :D

I fully understand why they would push Sarah back a week or two for this unexpected bombshell, because Sarah will presumably be a "long term" thing, and people with limited funds would have run the risk of locking themselves out of this offer, and that truly would suck for them seing as they can still buy the Sarah in October.

Unfortunately that is NOT how a Battlemaster really looks

It should have a much larger "head" and smoother shoulders and it should hold its PPC in the hand like a normal gun just to mention a few errors.

So to summon it up the package gives us a Shadow Hawk and a Thunderbolt that look like they should but a very distorted Locust and Battlemaster. They got 50% of the mechs right at least. Just to bad with the Battlemaster as it was my favorite among those mechs.

After 20 or so pages of whining, and people begging for Marauders...it's like none of them noticed that not one of these mechs isn't already classified as a technical reseen. Marauders, Warhammer, etc, pretty much all the Macross designs....will remain unseen I think.

Now for the tears, acrimony, temper tantrums, and hollow vows to not get these packages.

To finish off, a quote from Johnathan Storm-Kerensky: "Flame...." Oh you get the idea.

I'm pretty sure they're aware of what the original artwork looked like, you know.... all full of copyright infringement with Harmony gold, or did you guys not bother to read up on that?

They look different to keep the vultures of Harmony Gold off of them most likely. or would you like this game shut down?

Sorry but....some of the early designs were the atrocious ones, I swear it's like FASA had their little 10 year old brother drawing some of that junk up. While not perfect...these look better than some of those early designs.

Oh and while you're at it, raise your hands if you think there's a good way to armor that stupid bubble cockpit on the Battlemaster so many are enamored with? See and that's just one problem when you 'borrow' a design you should have done yourself.

You don't have to look very hard to find (some) founders complaining like adolescent children about this. And allow me to point out right now that many founders are supportive of this sale. They are happy to be a part of something very special and are happy that others can be as well.
You are not getting screwed. Nobody is taking back what you have already purchased. Nobody is forcing you to purchase the Phoenix package. Stop acting like an elitist and either play the game or don't.
Question... what makes you so special? That you've spent money on this game? That you did it before anyone else? IMO, anybody that has purchased a single red MC in this game is special, and has supported it's development. For that matter, anybody who has created and account and plays is doing the same. If you think you can run up to a car dealer with tears in your eyes telling them that they've done you wrong by selling somebody a better car for less money than you paid last year, than you have some life lessons to learn...

Don't get me wrong, I do scratch my head a bit when comparing this deal to the Founder's deal...

But if you think "we got screwed" in relation to this, well, so did anyone who shops at Wal-Mart and doesn't buy from the clearance rack, right? Or anyone that bought a 2012 model car a month before the 2013 model went on sale at a lower interest rate.

Deals change. Deals and sales come and go. Some deals will be better than others. "Buyer beware," basically.

That being said, a bone tossed to the Founders on this would be a nice gesture (like somehow making Founder's mechs not sit in my mechbay rusting away while I pilot a Hero Mech?)

Again, I'm not mad, we did not get screwed. Even if you hate everything about the game, we more or less got what was promised "for the price." We may not have gotten everything promised "about the game" that may have drawn many of us to buy that initial Founder's Pack.

And, as great of a value as this is, I still hesitate to buy due to concerns over the progress of things overall.

well hench tabletop mechs were my thing despite the later programs and their models and I always thought the later artwork that looked like they were all flame melted sucked horribadfully! the early models had clean sharp lines and people played with the style of mech that suited them best because they liked them the best. and the glareing errors to me stick out like a red sore thumb this does not mean ill dump the game but my expectations and satisfaction with the game are quite offended.

THE MECHS DO NOT LOOK LIKE THEY DO IN THE CARTOON! I'M OFFENDED!

(Assume I only knew about Battletech from that 1 season cartoon... hey, it's possible! Not likely, but possible! :o)

I am a founder, and I think this package is great that they are offering it.

I have only one regret with the founders package and one thing I have a question on with the phoenix package that is related. First off I cant sell founders mechs I do not use any longer. I would like to sell those mechs and get the CBills and it really rubs me the wrong way that I cant. I bought em, should be able to do what I want with them.

Are the Phoenix mechs also going to be unable to be sold? If so I wont purchase, but if they can be sold I will.

Note: I have not read the many pages along this thread, so if its all ready been posted somewhere in the 26 pages, sorry for asking.

What?! Really? No.

Mechs do not need to be holding guns and that bubble canopy... how do you even remotely balance that kind of thing without a redesign. The new art is far superior to the old stuff from every perspective but that of nostalgia.

Hit detection not working properly, no sane game modes, no lobby, no gameplay balance, few maps (with lots of bugs), clan invasion delayed over and over again, etc, etc... Until all of that is fixed - not a single penny thrown your way, PGI, project Phoenix or not. I already spent about $200 on a game that isn't worth $20 in it's current state.

Exactly my feelings, have put far too much money into this sinkhole already.
While I do appreciate nice new maps and mechs, that is just that, new ******* maps and mechs. I've lost faith.
I fear that factional warfare will be an underwhelming (or exact, who cares) copy from WoT, this is really not what I was hoping for... so I'm sitting on the fence until they get their **** together.
Interest in deathmatch gamemode lasts only so long, lucky this is free to play for now so I can check in now and then if this is going forward, tho I find myself even bothering to login less and less :D
If nothing else, next one to retry will have nice models to start out from...
