Is this all the mechs that come from october to january? i bought the pack for 80 bucks. does that mean that for me there is no new mech comming out each month starting oct 15. ?

Quote

Q: Will the entire collection of items in each package (ie - Mechs, Badges, Medallions etc) be delivered all on the same date or will different items be provided at different dates?
A: All package contents will be delivered on Oct 15th.

I take it from this, phoenix pack purchasers get all the mechs in one go. Every one else has to wait according to the release schedule.

PGI...

I am a Founder and I guess now a Phoenix too. Despite all the naysaying, I want to thank you got putting out such a great game (yes, this is a game. Not a full game, but that's obvious with the Beta tag). I got all that I paid for with the Founder's package and I bought the Phoenix because it's a real good deal. Thanks for delivering on EVERYTHING and keep up the good work! MWO will be here for years to come.

one could agrue that the orion was said to be postponed to november. so orion is then probably moved in the next year? would be cool if we could get some information here weather the phoenix mechs will be the only mechs comming out from oct 2013 to jan 2014 which might be considered to be a mayor drawback in buying the package imo.

Papar: Approximately, how many people were working on this game during Close Beta and how many are currently? Are you satisfied with that number or are you planning to recruit more members for the team?
A: We started with a team of 10-13 and now have a team in the mid-40s, not including execs, admin, etc. We continue to add resources as we find quality talent.

So, yes, they've hired some help.

Well i was excited at first to buy this pack, but the current boating and meta game has completely closed my wallet. Until PGI addresses the boating issue, mainly PPC, AC-40, i will not spend a dime on the game.

I have read their current and upcoming heat change but it's terrible. I really hope they can balance out the game before it's too late. A great a fun game that is being ruined by a few imbalanced features, already lost 7 friends in the last month because they could not take the boating, i myself am about a month away from dropping the game at least until a good balance update comes in.

It really is too bad, i haven't spent money on a F2P game in years, but i was gonna drop my $80 here after so long, but again the current balance of the game has me thinking otherwise.

LOOKS like a NEW CARROT...Dangle'n out in front of us....keeps our minds off all the ISSUES PGI has going with the game...Looking like a PAY to WIN...

Don't get me wrong looks like a great deal but PGI will never get another DIME from me until they start fixing some things.

What happened to Knockdown , DX 11 , Boating Fixes, Heat Issues(lack of heat Penalty) , Atlas/Assault armor should be at 1K if LTs are at 200 +, Economy (Paying for REPAIRS and Ammo), Lack of MAPs, Community warfare, Matchmaking, Crashes....the list is long and PGI just offers something NEW to keep your mind off the real Issues........

How is this a great deal? They want 80 bucks for the complete set! Anything less and you don't get a battlemaster. This is a huge and ridiculous waste of money. The worst part is these greedy devs are then going to shut down the sales of these mechs so if you don't buy them now you'll never get them. I can't even use the MC I already have saved to buy one of them. THE ONE I CHOOSE NOT SOME STUPID BUNDLE!!

I can't believe you guys aren't even complaining about this raw and naked price gouging.

Of course they will. The next pack with be Clan mechs. Everyone has to see that coming.

The Phoenix Pack did nothing to Founders, and a Clan pack will do nothing to Phoenix Project buyers. You got exactly what was advertised, and what you got didn't change.

Even then... you had to know, getting in as a founder, that your (F) mechs would eventually be eclipsed. If nothing else, come the introduction of Clan mechs.

Better things being released later? Never did they say that wouldn't be the case, and if you expected otherwise... Well, that's pretty naive.

Fair enough. It's a package deal, and it's not for everyone.

I for one am very happy with it and haven't regretted my Overlord purchase for a second.

I regret your overlord purchase. The only way to get PGI to stop being such greedy pieces !$!@#! is that we boycott any future mechs that aren't purchasable with MC.

Also you are wrong about what you say when you bring up that founders got what was promised. Part of why I bought a founders back was for access to MC at a reduced rate. Nobody EVER told me that MC would become useless in that PGI would then sell special mechs later on for CASH only. That was never part of the deal.

Where is your problem?
If you don't like this pack, don't buy it!
But just stop to cry a river, please. This pack comes for a damn good price. Anyone saying otherwise just can't do the math.
If you want to buy your Battlemaster for MC you just have to wait. If you want the special edition, buy it.
Simple as that.

Wow... This is garbage. I hate this plan. You bring back the unseen mechs just to try and sleazily gouge more money from us? You make them limited edition mechs and try and force people into spending heavy on them if they want to play the old mechs they loved for years. This is exactly the kind of sleazy technique that has made me a lifelong hater of the "free" mmo genre.
Sleazy? They introduce a preorder package for mechs everyone will get to use. Everyone will be able to buy all four chassis with cbills.

It's not "gouging". It's simply offering a product for sale - You could consider it gouging if the pricing was particularly high, and that was the only way to get those mechs, but neither is the case. They will be available for regular purchase too, and their price is very, very reasonable overall. As has been previously established, the Overlord pack contains roughly $200 worth of stuff.

And what is worse? You have the forums locked down so tight that this is the only place I can even give you my negative feedback. At the bottom of page 80 on the forums. Nice way to make sure my voice isn't heard as you slime your way to more money by holding some of my favorite mechs hostage. Well all I can say is I'll never spend another dime on MWO. Not ever. I don't care what you guys try and sell.
Ok, that's your perogative. It's ridiculous, but whatever.

Quote

I bet you are going to do the clan mechs the same way huh? I've been saving my founder MC from the beginning to get clan mechs with it but I guess you are going to crap all over that plan aren't you? I knew I shouldn't have gotten involved in one of these rip off "free" mmos and I never will again. I hate greedy companies and I especially hate companies that play games with intellectual property to try and extort more money from their customers. This just pathetic.Literally the most pathetic thing I have ever seen.
Huh? Did you even read the Phoenix Package post, and the FAQ? Do you have any idea of what your talking about? You will be able to use your MC to buy the mechs, if you so desire. Same with clan mechs. You can't use it for the pre-order pack, but you CAN still get those mechs with it. Hate "greedy companies"? I suppose then you hate all companies? The whole reason any exist is to make money. That's what they do. People like to eat, after all. If they don't turn a profit, they fail.

Only the Phoenix hero mechs. You'll still be able to buy all of the regular chassis as normal, all 3+ variants of each of them.

As to a great deal, look back in the thread for numbers. Even if you completely ignore all the c-bill purchasable mechs in the pack, it's STILL a great deal.

Clearly, you don't know what "price gouging" means. People aren't ranting about it because they can buy the mechs with MC if they want, they just can't pre-order with it.

I would suggest that you take a couple breaths. Obviously, MC isn't useless - Hero mechs, patterns, colors, regular mechs, cockpit pretties, etc. Hell, they'll likely even make regular hero variants of this mechs in the future too - and they as well as the rest of the normal hero mechs will be MC only.

Um, no. The only "Limited Edition" thing about these 'mechs are the Project Phoenix variants. I guess you didn't read the entire announcement (or FAQ) and you, like half the people here, were already to spring-loaded to fly off the handle at the drop of a hat. For each tier of the package, you get one (1) Phoenix variant and two (2) standard variants of that 'mech (plus some other stuff depending on the package)

You can get the standard variants of these 'mechs with C-Bills (or MC) by just waiting. The Project Phoenix variants are only "unique" in the same way that the Founder's 'mechs are "unique". They have a special paintjob/geometry, and they have some extra bonuses. Other than that, you'll be able to get the same 'mechs with the same hardpoints, just at a later date.

Spending money just gets you these 'mechs sooner. And by the sounds of it, you're only angry about spending money period, so it's not like they would ever have any package you were going to buy anyway. So I guess you were angry about other people buying things?

No official word.

HOWEVER, I will reiterate, that just as we've seen with these Unseen, the only thing stopping them from appearing is making new art for them, and PGI's decision to include the chassis (which, this type of decision is largely based on whether or not a chassis tonnage/hardpoint configuration is redundant with another design that is already planned). Don't use the contested art and there is no problem.
