The way some people are pants-on-head insane here, I think they just purchase items so they can scream for a refund.

It's called "voting with your wallet." I made the purchase after thorough consideration, right before Paul made the announcement that they acknowledged that MWO was in a troubled state requiring a fix. I am now making the thoroughly considered decision to rescind funding the game once Paul decided that he would steer away from a bad state towards utter failure. I want the refund now, as opposed to later, because if Paul gets
I am sorry that you don't understand the power of your own money.

The thing is, there are in absolutely no way required to give you a refund. They might - hell, they refunded some Founders, and I found THAT surprising... and those Founders had a reasonable claim (what was delivered was not what was sold to them).
"I want a refund on my purchase, that hasn't been delivered yet and has in no way changed, just because I'm mad at you."
What's funny? If PGI where to actually refund people making such stupid claims, nobody - NOBODY - would acknowledge that hey, that's a pretty decent thing to do. No, people would just go on ranting like they always do.

re·fund
/riˈfənd/
Verb
Pay back (money), typically to a customer who is not satisfied with goods or services bought.
Literally the first result when you do a Google search for the definition of refund.

I am aware of what a refund is.
As I said, PGI is in absolutely no way required to give you a refund. You ordered certain products. Those products have not even been delivered yet (and are not late - you knew purchasing them that they were coming on Oct 15th). How the game is right now is irrelevant to that purchase.
If they delivered different mechs? Or some of them didn't work? Ok, sure. You'd have a decent leg to stand on to ask for one.
Well, hell, you can ask for one regardless. You can ask for whatever you want.
But PGI doesn't have to - and honestly, I wouldn't expect them to - give you a refund.

Here's the neat thing about how sales work, since you still seem to be struggling with this concept. I give a party money in exchange for a product. If the party does not give me a product, they are not entitled to my money and must return it. And, if before the product is delivered I choose to cancel the transaction, they are not entitled to my money and must return it. I literally do not understand why this concept is so difficult for you, nor why you feel so personally affronted that I would be asking the devs/moderators (note: not asking pubbies such as yourself) what the official channel is for requesting a refund.
But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Meh. Wait and see is the best approach. All these mechs will eventually be buyable with c-bills and the hero versions will probably come with: custom paint, better hard points, bigger engines, more jumpjets, and a better end-of-match reward bonus.
So it's better to wait and see if the game even lasts til next January and then buy the hero Battlemaster/Shadow Hawk/Whatever than take a risk now.

Edit (14/10/2013): I saw the then screenshots, then the video. After that, I bought up to the Storm package, at the last minute. Great job on all the mechs.
