Well, to be honest I am slightly disappointed. Not about the fact that we get new mechs, I love that. But as a founder, I feel slightly screwed. I paid $60 for 1 mech and some premium time. Now, we get offered a total of 3 premium mechs ánd 6 basic variants ánd premium time for the same amount of cash. Really, this is the way to award founders? At least reimburse founders with the basic variants of the foundermechs they ordered? It would still be a mediocre offering, but better than what we've currently got.

again founders crying even though they had access to early beta...

Nice of you to screw over your Founders by offering an even better deal to new comers. Such shameless business practices behind this game. You already sold a Founders. Now you're basically selling another one; I guess the last one wasn't enough. You're calling it a "prepurchase", which is exactly what the last one was, right before the game released that October. Now you're basically selling another prepurchase package, better than the last one, and re-releasing the game. If you were going to knife your Founders like this; you shouldn't have had that original deal, or you should have just run it now instead of this one. You ripped off your own Founders.

Is that really so Mr. Nonfounder? I don't know, if I should complain too. Maybe because of the 20.000 mc I got for free for founding the game. Nah wait. But the for unique looking mechs (ok... they look unique... not good^^) I got... Nah no point either. But then your right. I should complain about the 3 months premium for free. No, wait.
How about that. Next you have founded YOURSELF you complain afterwards. Yeah... that's more like it :P

Yes, this person is complaining. But oh look! No founders tag. And even if he/she had one, it represents the opinion of one person.
Not all the founders.

Don't like the decisions they are making? Don't buy their stuff. Simple.

As a founder, I have been asking for these kinds of deals repeatedly. I Founded to Found. Now I want deals.

Not just you, there have been many many posts asking for additional package deals. Anyone who thinks Founders didn't want additional packages needs a reality check.

Almost immediately after the announcement of this one, people started speculating, and hoping for a Clan Pack.

I love some "Founders" players pretentious attitude towards those who didnt blow gas tanks worth of money on a game thats early beta was about as smooth as the Kashmire region in Pakistan. *Hint* It's full of mountains.

This Project Pheonix is okay, but I know I wont blow money on it, mainly because I just dont play enough to justify blowing money on it. And I dont play because the same problems from early beta are still here. A complete lack of something to do, there is still no community warfare, the house system is still not in the game, and it is nothing more than World Of Tanks with mechs and a Mechwarrior skin.

Where is my Multiplayer Battletech : 3025!?!?!?!

Maybe if the non-founders weren't claiming to speak for the founders we'd not have to be settting you straight.

What a load of bull. Closed was a better version of MW:O than what we have now after months of performance "improvements" making FPS lower and ping higher, not to mention the game is little changed in any major way.

Let's see - Knockdown removed. No lobby system or team's being able to challenge each other (which means the "we want MW:O to be an E-sport" line was a load of bull, too). Hell, a year later and we STILL don't have Community Warfare at all - that's one whole pillar of the game missing! Not to mention the Clans are being told by PGI to sit and spin when they SHOULD have been in-game last month at the latest.

I mean, face it, the game is half-finished at BEST, just the same as it was ten months ago or more. A trio of new maps, a dozen or more new mechs, a mere HANDFUL of bugs fixed, but what else has improved? NOTHING. What's changed? NOTHING. I for one enjoyed closed more than I do this. And the worst part is, you KNOW THIS, as you say here:

WoW that looks awesome, but I cant afford it ;). Will these mechs be released later to everyone? I REALY want the BattleMaster!

As someone said, yes these will come available later.

October 15th, the Locust becomes available for all.
November 20th, Shadowhawk. December 18th, Thunderbolt. January 22nd, Battlemaster.

Those who bought the package get them all at once.

(PGI said they doubled the staff for making mechs so they can pump out two mechs per month, so they're using this to get ahead of the release dates. Possible clan project?)

Some additional info to note.

Quote

Q: How are the Phoenix Battlemechs cosmetically and functionally different from the Mechs already in-game?
A: The Phoenix Variants of each Project Phoenix Battlemech comes packed with the following cosmetic and functional perks:
Unique and Exclusive Custom Designed Exterior
30% C-Bill boost
10% Loyalty Point Boost
Important! These Phoenix Variants will NEVER again be available to purchase or to unlock once the sale offer has ended.

Q: What is the difference between a Phoenix and Standard Variant ?
A: The Standard Variants of each Project Phoenix Mech will not carry any of the Phoenix Variant cosmetic or functional benefits, as seen in the answer above.

Q: Are the Project Phoenix Phoenix Variant and Standard Variant Mechs customizable in the areas of exterior cosmetic changes, loadout changes and/or cockpit customizations?
A: The Camo Spec, Loadout and cockpit customizations can all be user-selected and changed for the Phoenix BattleMechs and their Standard Variants.

For example the Battlemaster in the package might have ribbed shoulder blades, and the regular ones might have smooth shoulder blades.

Since Phoenix versions come with a special camo skin and paint, but the Phoenix special mechs can change camo and paint... my question is if this camo might be interchangeable onto other mechs and how many of them? It's a fun thought.

Erm... It sounds like you have no idea what at least one of those games are because MPBT:3025 =/= MWT

MPBT:3025 was a modified version of the original MechWarrior computer game (mech sim), which added the ability for players to take part in what we're calling in MWO "Community Warfare", where players could fight for their factions for control of planets through the actions of the mech sim game.

MWT is a turn-based tactical game most similar to the (basic) tabletop board game. You pick a map (not a world, a map), and you have a battle (with another player or AI). If you win, you get more loot than if you lose. There's no game-regulated "community warfare". If you want, you could probably make some sort of RP "league" of your own, just like the old tabletop gaming groups, where each group was essentially playing in their own universe, but that's about it.

Ah, fair enough then. My knowledge of BT / MW is limited to the last 5 years of personal experience and relies on others for most of the rest. Thanks for the explanation.

So, if I buy the Overlord tier for the Phoenix project, do I get enough mech slots to hold all 12 mechs?

Yes - but if you sell the Phoenix 'mechs you also sell their mech bays. They don't want people to get "free" mech bays since that would eat into the MC sales of mech bays.

Have a look at this thread: http://mwomercs.com/...oenix-mechbays/

It's not officially confirmed, so it's basically one poster copy-pasting a reply from support. The poster could have edited it any way he wanted, but I see no reason to not believe him; it's the way the Founder mechbay slots work.

4 locked bays, 8 bays free to do with as you wish.

Refer to this Faq

Quote

Q: Can I sell my Project Phoenix or Standard Variant Mechs?
A: Project Phoenix Mechs are locked to their MechBay and can't be sold. Standard Variants may be sold normally, freeing their MechBay for use with another Mech.
