I wish this wasn't true but you hit the nail on the head. I just cant stop looking even though this and many of the threads here are completely fail.

Taken not seriously, a lot of the threads in this forum can be very funny. Read too much though, you end up thinking humanity should just off itself to save itself the agony.

They're not even hero mechs, they're variants which will be available for CBills but with a custom skin and CBill/Loyalty bonus, same as with the Founder's mechs (aside from the Loyalty bonus obviously).

But.....but.....paint scheme!! It's a psyhological advantage!! P2W!!!!!

This mech won't disrupt gameplay balance, it will be a medium that might actually be good.

It is somewhat Pay2Win in the meantime if it turns out to be the best med.

Probably said already but seeing how the vast amount of it's potential firepower is in the torsos i do not see the shadowhawk disrupting any sort of balance. It will most likely be stuck only using a standard engine and with the extra weight/space that implies, it will not fare as well as people would like to believe.

Still subjective, doubt it's p2w vs an assault. Till we get class or very tight tonnage restrictions it's still nothing several other mechs ingame for c-bills can do better

Hopefully. It weighs 5 tons more so it should have different strengths and weaknesses. Should be tougher, but slower to turn/twist. Loadout should be about the same as 50 tonners.

Look at the designations

LCT-1V
SHD-2H
TDR-5S
BLR-1G

Those are the standard variants. I imagine in game they will have something like BLR-1G(P).

Don't worry, it will fit Gauss & PPC just like everything else.

There's no balance to disrupt.

Yeh... although I don't have any founders mechs, is there any difference other than bonus bills?

With the founders, no. Nor is there any differences with the © models.

Other than the founders have some sort of custom skin, and will likely never be able to be painted, if you want to count that.

Actually the hardpoints really blow chunks. You get a hardpoint in the head for a streak launcher, SRM 4, SRM 2 or a LRM 5, a hardpoint for a LRM or SRM LT, 1 laser slot in the arm and 3 ballistic slots in one of the RT torsos. at least in the 1st version.

So for a weapon package I'm looking at 2 streaks, 1 large laser or PPC, 3 MG, or some sort of cannon probably use the extra 5 tons to make it a ultra ac 5.

If you want a good challenge, yes. I haven't been playing too much lately but I killed 4 guys in a row in my 4sp, all heavies. 2 of them were already red but it was still entertaining.

XL 275 engine.

The XL280 weighs exactly the same as the XL275, so you should of course fit the XL280! :P
Double checked on smurfy, both 14 tons.

3 Streaks, 3 Machine Guns, 1 PPC...

... I will dominate everything like Akimbo Shotguns.

Not in terms of damage or armor vs heavies and assaults, but we should still be implementing ways to make them and lights much more used than heavies and assaults. Would probably fix a lot of balance issues.

The Blackjack wasn't better in EVERY WAY (well, except for one variant). The Shadow Hawk comes OMGWTF FASTER even stock...

Would not a Mech, in the same weight class, that weighs 10 more tons, not have a better Stock engine and thus speed?

Well, looking at Gauss, PPC and 3 Streaks w/ BAP myself, or if too heavy, AC10. And as fast as it'll go with Jump Jets. It's definitely way too diverse (a common complaint about it on TT), but it can work.
