Knock it off with the announcements. Its disheartening to continually see a forum post, check my email, log in, and get smacked in the face by my forever pending status. If someone receives a beta key I'm sure they will know about it. If they don't and they miss their opportunity then it just opens up a spot for someone else. Just my two cents.

I think its fine... my only concern is how much of it is actually true.

I like to see an alert that says I should check... but of course is disheartening after playing almost every mechgame released, beta testing for MPBT3025, and owning a powerful computer, to see pending.

It is challenging because of their goals (closed beta testing) and making it easy for them. That requires them to keep the community in the dark for many things (for example, are you in the pool? Did they really give out 1500 keys? or was it 200?).

It is a little weird for things to be so HUSH HUSH yet to be handing out 4000+ keys... and for me to not be one of them with my record. Maybe its intentional hype? Who knows...

All I know is that eventually it will come out, and I WILL be playing it them... my main reason for wanting access now is that my time to play later is less than my available time now... but hey.. what can you do.

easy on the conspiracy theory....
This isnt the assassination of JFK here. It's a game. A game we will all (Founders) be playing July 17th(ish). So I know my beta date, anything earlier is gravy dude.

What purpose would they ever serve announcing 4000 keys and then only giving out 200?

And whether you tested MWBT or not is irrelevant; They are not able to read every single person's resume and then spend time deliberating the merit of every invitee, and if they were hand-picking anyone it wouldn't be whiners and conspiracy theorists who think they deserve it more than the rest of us.

your high end computer is also irrelevant. They already know MWO will run on a high end computer, that is not a facet worth testing.

How do you know that you don't have a key if they don't tell you the keys have been released?

I love how so many people get upset that they haven't been chosen, even though they are apparently the most experienced beta testers on the planet... Like nobody on the internet ever lies about what they have done. :)

Its a part of gaming.

I will have to say, this is the first time in almost 20 years I didnt get a beta testing position in all the games I applied for to do testing.

With that said, again, it is just a part of the gaming world. I have not heard anything from anyone, people are so tight lipped, NDA. I just hope it actually lives up to the hype and speculation. I have seen so many games in the past announce and do things to get more people involved to only have a **** for a game.

Peace Out

I think that a big part of the frustration is that we know it is getting so close, and as fans/hardcore players/superfans.... or whatever, we are all feeling that intense desire to play a new MW game after 10 + years of waiting and disappointment.

No whining, no complaining, just a little insight as to what some people may be feeling. I know I am.

And this is why you shouldn't be a beta tester. Beta testing is not about playing the game and having fun and getting an advantage over the people who aren't in beta when the game releases; it's to help the developers find bugs, tweak settings, and balance the game so that it works at release. If all you want to do is play the game without trying to test for bugs, wait till either the founders beta or the open beta, where they're more concerned about getting tons of players online to do load testing, and not about game testing. Take the entitlement mentality elsewhere please.

Keep announcing those beta invites.
It's heartening to see that the game is developing and the beta is progressing, bringing us ever closer to Open Beta and then release.
There will come a time when we are all playing, and the "Pending" button will be a part of MW:O history.

Just my two cents.

The beta is a fake anyway. That's why nothing's been leaked. Nobody is actually in the beta.

lol your not the first person to say such a thing.

There are 100,000 forum users, more than actually. Have you considered not everyone who got accepted even knows they did? There is such a thing as real life ya know.

Another thing. Maybe the beta players are too busy playing and having fun, to much risk their access over?

Plus this is a dedicated community. There is always the chance that everyone is working hard at testing and trying to help ensure the games polish job leaves a nice shine.
