Actually if you go read the forum rules, naming and shaming is about posting in-game screenshots etc here on the forums with the intent to discredit or otherwise injure posters.

The screenshots in question were sent to MWO support, not posted here. Unlike the multitude of trolls who have posted screenshots meant to shame me here in the forums.

You know what, never mind. I actually seriously would like to have a rational discussion with you, but you don't seem to want to listen to an opposing view or do anything but insult people. You are very angry for no good reason. I truly in all honesty wanted you to join our our group and see that the game isn't as bad as you think and the players aren't out to get you (outside of the context of a match of course). I even added you to my friends list. But whatever man.

I'd link you the stats but it's behind a subscription wall at NPD. NPD group does polls about a lot of industries most of which is sales stuff. You can google them though and find a lot of cherry-picked quotes from NPD polls in news articles and put a lot together which is nice if you don't work somewhere that gets access to NPD poll reports and figures. They do polls and research for ESA the Entertainment Software Association.

Anyway. What you're doing is Confirmation Bias. When you do something you associate with other people who do the same. Since most the people you interact with do the same thing you assume that most people do.

The reality is that about 80% of people in North America and Europe game. Most of those people (about 60%) pretty much stick to single player games but do some social games, mostly facebook games and mobile stuff. The percentage of people who game that actually play stuff like MWO because of the multiplayer aspect is about 15%. It was 13% but it's risen about 2%, probably higher for 2012. Only a tiny percentage of those people use VOIP.

Even that tiny percentage is a lot of people though; millions. In context of gamers though it's a pretty small chunk. That is what it is.

This has changed post Elo and pugging has significantly improved.

I get better games in PUG than in 4-man - why? because i don't need to cover for anybody elses inflated Elo.

well Morsdraco was serious about having you drop with us to see how groups can be fun, i was slightly hesitant. I was also contemplating booting him from our gaming community for doing so.
If you would seriously like to drop with a group and use voice chat,rational (but quite raunchy) conversation let me, countess or morsdraco know and we will give you info.
This is a 1 time invite to drop and hang with us as a group, im not saying we are elite but we have fun and win more than we lose(all while playing non cheese builds)

We have fun playing togethor and have a lot of serious rational discussions about this game
But we also beat each other up more than anything else.
