I have tried to only buy mechs that the Republic would actually have access to, besides my beloved Centurion that is.
After numerous trips to Sarna instead of reaching over to the bookshelf and flipping through the books that are Right There i came to the conclusion that i needed to write this stuff down so others could read it (an ironically novel concept, as I'm sure you understand).
I therefore decided to make this list of who produces what, for those who are also want to know if they need to raid their neighbor's borders for a mech of their choice, and don't want to make a trip over to their own bookshelves (I feel your pain).
There are three notes to remember:
1) this is a list of where these mechs are produced, not if they are later sold to another faction (the Spider for example is produced in the FWL but is almost exclusively sold to the Dracs).
2) i have kept the Lyran Commonwealth and the Federated Suns separate, despite the two faction's fleeting merger at the moment. I did this mainly so you would know who borders who.
3) Some mechs are produced by multinational corporations, and i placed a faction based on what planet the mech is actually produced at.
All information here is thanks to Sarna.net, and contributions from viewers like you. Thank you.

Star League Weapons Research (on Kwangjong-ni) Rim Worlds Republic - Plant fell into disuse after the Lyrans took the world (the plant was built underwater?!) and isn't active again until Jihad era.
*note* as far as i can tell, all variants of the mech besides the 5S are retrofits of the initial five thousand produced, and as such are not actually produced by their originating factions. The Banshee is one of the mechs that has a production line disabled in the Jihad era however, so it is safe to assume that the plant on Hesperus II is actually producing new 5S's in this period.

*note* the omni version of this mech is undergoing production on Luthien (Dracs) at this period, but will not be fielded until 3056. The FS9-O is actually a 45 ton medium omni-mech, and costs more than a brand new AS7-D.

Well, it makes sense that the FWL makes quite a few, they have a crapload of factories and sell to everyone. Luckily for the other states, the FWL was barely able to hold itself together until Thomas Marik, meaning they sold their Mechs or used them against themselves rather than against others.

I'd like to point out an error in your chart and that is our factories producing the Victors at this point in time. Victor is currently produced only on St.Ives and some Kuritan planet.

Neither we, not our treacherous Daviot neighbours hold any facilities capable of manufacturing them.

You are absolutely partially correct, although if it's any consolation you will get a Victor plant back in about 13 years.
Quentin is the Drac planet where the Victor is produced, and they aquired it in the 3039 war. I listed both factions there because the Fedsuns did produce the mech on that planet for a while.
The Fedsuns current Victor plant (GM) in on New Valencia (where the Blackjack is made coincidentally, feel free to raid that planet and rid us of another medium laser boat).
I will correct the post in short order.

Just a little nitpick: Calloway VI is in the FWL, making the Shadow Hawk (specifically the 5m variant) available to the FWLM as well.

Otherwise, nice exhaustive list.

I omitted Tikonov from the FedSuns lists because it says most of the manufacturing capabilities were destroyed when the planet was taken, however it does seem that the cataphract is one of the few designs that they can still produce, so i'll tweak the list.

Also, thanks for the tip InRev about the shadowhawk, and no thanks because you are further stealing our thunder up in galactic coreward :D

Here's a tip for all of the Earthwerks employees out there: STOP BUILDING PLANTS at the EDGE OF CAPELLAN SPACE.

I'm curious as to where you see the Victor being used by Davion. They did use the Battlemaster (not on your list) but mechs like the Victor, Hunchy, Atlas, etc weren't house specific but rather used by all factions.

It would be so interesting if you had manufacturing sites on the Community Warfare map. So if your faction has control of it. You get a C-bill discount on the particular mechs produced.

It would be interesting, but since:

1) Finding and placing all the factories of the IS in this era is neigh impossible.

and

2) Due to the way they are designed, some factions could have considerable difficulties having just 1-2 words producing all their equipment.

...hold true, it would take a lot of thought besides the basic idea to have the system work without breaking something.

Multiple Fed Suns pilots like Ardan Sortek and Victor Steiner-Davion have used the Victor in canon, making it a Fed Sun Mech by perception. After the Second Succession War, the Fed Suns had captured IW, the only factory making Victors. It then became the AFFS primary Assault Mech, and became a prize Mech for commanders.

Well, if you count mistakes in the top canon sources as canon, then CC also has a factory for them. :P

Altough it would also imply that 2/3s of the mechwarriors who stayed in IS were Atlas pilots... ;)

Damn! I'm running Davion mechs only, with the exception of those that I "captured" from Marik (Cicadas + AWS-9M). The Highlander looked a lot more appealing then the Victor. I like the speed but not so much the lack of weight to carry heavy ordinance.

Yes they use it- the mech description and desired info is on Sarna. Not only do the FedSuns have a factory in their own space (New Valencia), but they had another previously (Quentin) and will gain another later (Styk).
Also, what Lord Ikka said above is (partially) true; the Victor is considered a prime command mech for the AFFS.
There IS more than one plant producing the mech in this time frame (the mech's description has poor wording) namely one in Ikka's faction's control and the one on St Ives.
It is worth noting that 'some samurai' find it distasteful to pilot the mech of their enemy, adding to the suggestion that the AFFS uses it extensively.

Edit: i had a nausiatingly off the subject response because i misunderstood the question; which of course i was very proud of at the time.
How i misunderstood a thirteen syllable question is quite beyond me, but i did manage it. As dal10 posted directly below this, the answer is no:

As with other Star League era designs the Highlander would suffer the loss of technology brought about by the Succession Wars, and when StarCorps' factory on Son Hoa was devastated towards the end of the Second Succession War the original HGN-732 became virtually extinct. An agreement between StarCorps and Hollis Incorporated to rebuild destroyed chassis from scratch using readily-available technology kept the line going until the mid-3030s when limited production was restarted by StarCorps on Son Hoa and Corey, producing barely a dozen new 'Mechs per year. These HGN-733 Highlanders were used in small numbers by the Capellan Confederation and Lyran Commonwealth, commonly as part of lances containing Exterminators, Victors, Grasshoppers and Catapults.

So as we can see, not only is the Highlander A) produced in the Federated Commonwealth and therefore availible in both Lyran and FedSuns space (which was the point of my first response), B) it was also produced in Capellan space up untill the second succession war, along with the Battlemaster which i Did put in the lists.

I must admit two things at this point, the first being /facepalm; the second is that i read this paragraph (in the description of Hollis Industries) about 4-5 times while i was making this post and for some reason it Never Clicked.

So i would like to apologize to what's-your-name for giving a mildly rude and very skirt the issue response, and also to all you Liao people out there (those of you who have earned your citizenship that is, the rest can sod off and scrub toilets) for denying you another assault mech with jump jets.

source:

The Highlander is one of the most well-known SLDF assault 'Mechs, serving with distinction for almost two centuries since first entering service in 2592. Initially designed as a dedicated city and installation defender, the original model featured a variety of weaponry along with fifteen and a half tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor, but perhaps its most useful asset were the three Hildco jump jets giving it a jumping range of 90 meters. The heaviest 'Mech design to feature jump jets at the time, their original task was to allow the Highlander the ability to jump over inconvenient obstacles such as buildings and outpace other 'Mechs with a faster ground speed, but because of this increased mobility and its versatile weaponry the Highlander proved to be a capable fighter on any battlefield and within decades nearly every BattleMech regiment of the Regular and Royal Armies featured them. However it was during the design's initial trial runs that pilots began using these 'Mechs in what would infamously become known as the "Highlander Burial". Leaping into the air and landing directly on their enemy, a Highlander could literally drive a light 'Mech into the ground. So successful was this maneuver that the design team re-engineered the legs to withstand repeated death-from-above attacks and turned what had been a desperation move into an art form, giving Highlander pilots an additional psychological edge.[3][5][6][7][8]

Unbeknownst to many ComStar also maintained a large stock of Highlanders left over from the Star League, which they gifted to the Draconis Combine during the War of 3039. The appearance of so many seemingly rare 733s, along with a few 732s whose advanced technology managed to slip through ComStar screening, had an large impact on Lyran morale during that conflict. ComStar would also use the design in their own military forces, the Com Guard, and even during the Clan Invasion a few original 732s would take to the field as part of the Clans' fighting forces. By 3057 StarCorps' Son Hoa line was at full production, producing brand-new original-spec Highlanders for Lyran units of the Federated Commonwealth, just in time to take part in the FedCom Civil War. Highlanders would continue to be produced all the way through to the Jihad, where advanced variants fought both for and against the Word of Blake.[3]

was thinking exactly that. Along with different manufactored weapons. (discounts if planet is held)

and also random salvage rewards after a match based on the mechs in the match "buy this salvage at 50% discount. from base price."
