you really think they have sound engineers? so basicly for the past year this is what they have come up with? ROFL players are mad cuz they have a right to be mad... and no apologist can change that..

I'm not totally pro "burn PGI at the stake" but they have to fix alot before I change my stance on the fact they are screwing up the game more and more lately

The devs talk about what they want to do, how they will do it and WHEN approximately we can anticipate.
12v12, Ui 2.0 aren't being released until maybe late August.
SRMs and Seismic were also talked about in number 78 (IIRC) and will be address.
These guys are doing a great job.
They have several departments which do DIFFERENT things and you should respect that.
As said in Podcast 79, "This thing has to be done before this thing can be done and this thing can be released when this thing is done." Saying.. other fixes and/or updates will be applied when other things are working and/or completed.
You can't put a house together with a roof fully assemlbed without foundation.


Plus Phil wont shut his damn mouth for 5 secs.... someone askes a question, phil rephrases it to what Phil thinks should have been asked, sometimes he even changes what the person actually asked... then goes on and skips over the person leaving them no room to respond... its almost like its scripted... Bombadil used to stop Phil when he did that but I think he has given up.. I just pulled my funding and stopped going to the podcasts and put Phil on block so I didnt have to listen to the stupid announcements, now I just stay on our own teamspeak servers

Major letdown fellas. Got me all hyped about the July patches and its just more of the same ole crap. Stop working on junk to charge me for (paint & hero's) and finish the game. Haven't played consistently in weeks because it all seems so absolutely pointless.

Don't have to fire me I have all but quit. Believe was just as starry eyed as you but every patch seems to dissapoint.

I don't know what it is about the patch, but somehow it feels good. There is something inherently good about what has been done and I cannot for the life of me put my finger on it.

This.

They need to work a height factor into the terrain gradient/movement speed function. If they can't do that, then maybe a lag time before it takes effect, so that if you only experience that slope for a moment (like stepping over a little bump) then you're off of the slope before the effect kicks in.

Heck, I dumped the lasers and one JJ, added a 2nd SRM6 and another 2 tons of Gauss ammo. What did that get me? Top score in 3 of my first 4 matches in an unfamiliar mech, and I'm not particularly good.

Except of course it's ridiculous. If JJ's are going to shake the mech, they're going to shake the mech. It's all bolted together.
And when's the last time you saw a Harrier pilot puke on the instrument panel just because he was in a hover?

thx for the patch...

like:
- new movement (discrepance between lights, mechs with JJ and assaults are great...)
- new sounds
- new Critical Heat Damage System
- that f9 is back (fps display)

dont like:
- the only little effect of the new Critical Heat Damage System
- lost more then 10 fps (especially on canyon map :) )
- big lags and freezes when the servers are full
- still probs with the HRS not solved

keep it on!

I like the critical heat damage system as well, although it doesn't really solve anything. The new sounds are just terrible, at least on my sound hardware (Logitech G930 headset). The new movement system results in even more PPC/Gauss and high alpha gameplay. Overall the game is in a worse spot than before.
