What happened to the July director's post? I understand you didn't post it on Canada Day, but shouldn't it be up at least today?

They usually get posted around the 4th.

You don't seriously still believe what they say, do you? You've been around long enough to know better than that!

I do not bother with ETAs that involve the current borked netcode hitreg of craptacularness. 12v12 would only compound the whining.

Edit:
Is it just me, or are we REALLY trying to make LRM boats with Atlai? Because... suddenly they become really easy pickings.

Hey kids when the Heavy Metal powers down it won't play music.

That was probably the most important fix to do at the moment. The situation was unbearable, and the forums are full of complaint posts about shutdown HMs playing music.

If they never "fixed" that thing, I doubt anybody would have ever complained.

Thank you. Although I think it is silly to post an outlook on the month after the first patch of that month which has already introduced a considerable part of said outlook.

So no UI 2.0, no 12 man, no CW. Looks like July is gonna be another disappointment like the past few months.
Maybe not, I've noticed that the first patch of each month is usually the small stuff with the big juicy chunk coming in the second patch of the month. So keep your hopes up until the 16th!

So when is the standard Victor out? just wanna see how chassis drives tbh. I did buy my hgn hero off the bat and it is brilliant but after my dissapointmet with quickdraw (which others enjoy) I just want to see is the mech suited to my play style.

I was hoping for Sarah's mech and the test server, but the movement changes and the heat penalty is nice. Damage starts at 120 but counties till below 100?!? That's pretty harsh, will be interesting to see if it lessens the PPC alphas.

Why damage the mech only during over heating? Why not add some sort of movement and aiming penalties? If anything your new system really only makes people want to use your coolant flush gimmick more.

I'm really annoyed that they put the Atlas RS on sale and then release a Champion version a week later.

Can I return my Atlas RS in exchange for the Champion one?

Am I whining? Yes.

Is it justified? I think so.

If this were a physical store with physical product, I'd be able to take my Atlas RS in the store and exchange my inferior product for the new one they just replaced it with :)

Actually need to tip my cap to you, to me at least, this is an incredibly valid point.
I doubt you would ever get a response, but the question seems very legitimate.

I hope they made a hero video. Just a minutes worth of a Victor annihilating a lance of Dragons with DFA's and headshots...

I like the aproach with overheating. A threshhold of 120% with constant damaging till it is back in the normal range. I still would prefer penalties like slowed down movements over 80% and blurred vision if the heat stays above 90%. We have to see if those uber cheesy builds are really suffering from this. I started to play a few days ago with such ppc boats, hopefully I can end this (don't really like em).

The rest of the patch sound nice, especially the movement changes.

What bothers me is that I heard Russ Bullock on No Guts No Galaxy a couple of days ago and he sounded like balance is fine by him. "Yeeeeeah we are always tuning and this and that, but to me seems like the boating/alpha problem is not really a problem..." which is scary. And then, comes this patch which doesn't touch SRMs and doesn't touch Seismic.

What the hell, how can they even remotely think Seismic is fine? Seems that since the game is still in beta it is OK to **** us off. I mean, do they really feel seismic is fine? Why would I want to keep playing another two weeks like this? Oh, wait. This game has no sub, so they don't care if I stop playing. Meh.

The heat changes may have a significant effect on PPC boating. Of course, all the whiners want MOAR CHANGE, but really, small tweaks are the best way to go about something like this. If you change too many variables at once, you risk creating more problems, and they'll be harder to fix, because it will be difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of said problems, because you changed too much crap at once. The movement changes are pretty big. It's going to take some getting used to... but it should make for some interesting changes in tactics, based on terrain. Hopefully, they'll put in a movement penalty for walking through deep water at some point as well.

I've got a good feeling about this patch. If it fixes some of the class/role and weapon balance (PPCs) issues i've been having lately, I just might spring for a Phoenix package.

Holy double double talk talk.

On a side note I like that we can start to see being able to change founder mech colors. The other stuff...
