It could have had a nice overall pattern and less grey shading.

I have tested it - it is not good. the pattern is very basic, no effects whatsoever - but dirt.
And if i talk about dirt, its a lot. scratches are nice tho (if you add some effects like gloss?).
You cant see the pattern, you cant even see the colors picked.
If you like your 'mech black, or white - well, then your out of luck, it stays bout dirty gray.
How about we remove the dirt, keep the large scratches and get something like a shiny emblem?
Shiny things makes people happy

Thanks for your hard effort,
sveno

Hard to see the colors or even the structure of the skin.

Too much grey, really.
I get that it's supposed to look like a more old, veteran and used mech, since we supported MWO from the very beginning, and that's a good concept.
But the colourable area only makes up about half of the mech, and it's very, very dark.

You're crazy...what's wrong with blue and yellow? I may be a bit biased since it's my alma mater's colors but it looks fine...

Nothing is wrong with blue and yellow, I was commenting on the poor coloration of the mech. Sveno's first screenshot is supposedly a blue and yellow jenner, and I wasn't sure I wanted this update if "camo dark blue" was going to look like "gunmetal grey".
EIDT: Personally, I like the default blue, yellow, and white texture. I just wanted to see them touch up the hunchback a little so its stripes would stand out a little more, and I'm wondering what it's going to look like after they get through with it.

Too much wear and tear on the Jenner IMO.. I'm not ganna say I flat out hate it - I'm glad I can change more than one colour, but it's like a sandblaster was taken to it, and I was actually hoping for more of like...Battlewounds... bullet holes with rust drips, kinked/dinted geometry, etc. But maybe that's being a little too specific?
In the end, the jenner is a little over-done I'm not sure who was complaining about them but it's sad to see they're doing so much for us founders, which is really appreciated, but... I feel bad saying this, but not this time for me.

If I had one peice of advice, that would be to stop right now, don't spend your resources on this project. And not because the new skin is a little unpopular, but because it's just not necessary - Unless you have free time, i guess. Here's just what my grade 11 photoshop skills can poorly illustrate. The big thing, rust spots and bullet holes etc. I dunno. Wish I could use photoshop better though. But just to give an idea:

They give it way too much wear/dirt. you can't even make out the stripes like you could in the previous cammo/concept art.

why not show it in founders colors
note: i think they gave it an extra hardy wear&tear layer because founders mechs r supposed to be old. gonna wait to see it in founders colors b4 making any judgements though
New founders colours and camo vs old catapult colours and camo for comparison in difference i guess. I don't have an old jenner screenshot to use.

With every single corner with the same amount of sand-blast effect to it, it looks "pillowy" and the same grey colour on everything looks flat. There'd be some parts that are shiny because it basically has been polished, and the more tighter geometry areas would not be as worn away.
Anyways. It's bugging me because it was just fine the way it was before, and now they're spending time on it to look worse. I'm happy for their want to keep us happy, but in this case it isn't called for and I don't know why they're doing it.

Because a lot of vocal Founders wanted the ability to customize the paint job further. What have we done?!?
