mechs are a lot bigger in this game than in other ones lol...
But its not like props are made to scale anyway (appart from river city)

But the image adridos made is most likely from the game file models, and therefore the person relative to the mech should be to scale. (probably more accurate than this illustration)

This is most undoubtly not to scale then. There is a sourcebook cover with a Madcat on it and a Elemental with his faceplate shot away at his feet to offer scale. The Elemental at roughly 3m height comes at least to the knee joint, maybe taller.

Here are the Sourcebook covers that offer good scaling:

Batteltech Compendium: FASA 1640
Rolling Thunder: FASA 1651
Objective Raids: FASA 1665
Northwind Highlanders: FASA 1702
The Clans: Warriors of Kerensky: FASA 1709
Battletech Field Manual: Warden Clans: FASA 1711
Comstar: FASA 1714
Lyran Alliance: FASA 1720

All have both mechs and people or Elementals in close proximity on the cover art.

Bigger than "canon". In Decision at Thunder Rift (First Battletech novel) the first description of 'mechs say they are as tall as 12 meters. Here we have a Jenner that is 10 meter and a Victor and Catapult at 17.

Every novel states something different and even then, authors **** in their mouth way too often.

Just take Stackpole... first he says that battlemechs range from 10 to 12 meters and then calls Victor out as being 14 meters tall outta nowhere. :D

There is no "canon" height for these machines.

Its a big mech, what is ridiculous is the size of the Quickdraw.

The HEIGHT is ridiculous on the quickdraw. Look at the length of the legs...it looks like an NBA Center! If they just made the legs shorter the QD would be fine.
