Hi everyone, with the Dragon Slayer out and the Victor launch imminent, let's get some Victor build ideas going.

I am slightly biased with my weapon choice.
VTR-9B
VTR-9S
VTR-9K
Any thoughts

First two I quite like, although they are pretty much the same. The third not my cup of tea. The UAC5 and LLs don't really play nice together, but it's workable.

I love the hardpoint layout here- reminds me a lot of the Centurion chassis. I started playing around with fast AC20 builds for max in-your-face destruction...

I also really like that Heavyish Metal build...

I was thinking something very similar to your 9B, only with a ton less of each ammo type. I find that 1 ton is fine for 2 Streaks and that 7 tons is good for 2 Ultras. I'd use the extra tonnage for some combination of Jump Jets, Beagle and AMS.

Probably 1 jump jet, strip off half a ton of armour and then mount Beagle. VTR-9B

I might run something like this:

VTR-9S

Basically the same weapons load and DPS as my DDC Atlas, but with Gauss on the arm.

I tried this build with the Dragon Slayer. It runs a bit too hot.

I'd just take out the Streaks:

MiniMetal http://mwo.smurfy-ne...62a50571c7d1d9a

Extra ammo, more speed, less JJ.

My Heavy Metal is great @ 65kph, the Victor @ 82.4 is going to be crazy.

Really like the third build. Three LL gets my attention in a major way.

I'm planning on running VTR-9S, VTR-9B. Already testing the 380XL in my Dragon Slayer and loving the speed and agility it gives. Might tweak the 9S in more of a SRM brawler rather then SSRM2's but I'll see on the field.

Man, I can't remember the last time I flip-flopped so completely about a mech. Hated the DS at first. So much so I advised people to not buy it. But now, I'm really digging it.

I just had a match where I got separated from my team by a Misery and a Cent 9A. I had to brawl those two SOBs with only a Gauss and 2 PPCs. The 9A was blasting me with a steady stream of SRM6s and the Misery was AC/20ing and LLing my arse as much as he could. Somehow, I was able to survive long enough for my team to arrive and save my bacon. I even managed to kill the Misery. I simply cannot believe I survived that. The DS can really take a beating if you torso twist and JJ to spread damage.

Liking the 9S build. Been playing my CTF-1X and YLW (both with an AC20) and definitely want to try at least one Victor with one.

That's why I wanted the Victor... close range combat, but the DS doesn't let me load the ac20, so another chassis has to carry the load! xD

In such a case I would go for XL350 without AMS and with 2 jump jets.
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...3a39fdb64f75d65

And XL370 proposed here as well is in my view too big of a sacrifice in terms of heat efficiency.

Do we know if the number of missile tubes change based on the weapon installed like on some of the newer mechs?

I do believe you get 10 tubes max. An LRM 10 fits snuggly but 2 SRM6 won't. ( only 10 tubes for 12 missiles volley)
