You know they just got in the office right? It's only 9 am there

You don't launch a product by only doing something on the day of the launch, you promote before hand to build excitement among the user base.

Difference being Chris at least would tell you ahead of time and hell probably have a video up about it 3 months prior. If you have followed star citizen at all you would know they communicate fairly well.

Interesting. I never saw posts like this early in the life of MWO. Must be a completely different situation!

And rightfully so. And then it's on to some other game like STO, where the Devs know the players matter and care about their game (and still manage to make money on it).

STO is where I first saw a dev post that only a tiny tiny portion of any game's community even visits the forums.

If you've uninstalled this game... still lurk on the forums for entertainment... you are a troll... plain and simple. This goes out to all the newfound trolls in our community... you don't belong here anymore if you don't support the game LOL! Go on, now... shoo... git... get lost.

Yes, because only yes-men should ever be allowed to have their words seen and heard.

Anyone with a grievance should just go away. That's how we build a better world, right? Anyone with a complaint or problem just crawls under a rock somewhere so as not to offend anyone with their negativity?

Whatever, man.

This is pretty much undeniable. They're only posting to convince other people that the game isn't worth playing, which is a violation of the TOS on multiple levels. Not providing feedback, not helping other players out... just simple trolling.

It's a shame PGI tolerates people like that. They provide zero value to the forums.

white knighting is worse than trolling, which we are not doing anyway.
we are waiting to see the big announcement , hoping for big changes that bring us back.

I'm not trying to convince anyone the game is not worth playing.

I'm trying to convince PGI to give me the game they sold me last year. Something more than team deathmatch with robots.

I find it fascinating that you think he won't have his own game drama.

it's even more fascinating that you're convinced there will be one.

No, you're lying about PGI, talking about how the game isn't worth playing, and generally making a nuisance of yourself.

If you were waiting to see the big announcement, you'd be *waiting* and not *posting*.

If you've quit playing... uninstalled it... got refunds... still lurk here... troll. Simply put. Staying here in hopes of improvement, still play, support the Devs and community (somewhat) and not be a f'ing Negative Nancy... yeah, stick around and be impressed when the changes start rolling in.

But but the guass has a charge up time. We have third person view. We got half C-bill rewards. Hero mechs with more credit bonus then founders! We still don't know if we hit something when we hit it!

I'm really happy I don't support that game. I troll for dreams long dead as I drudge through the darkness of development hell.

I've dumped more money into Star Citizen than I have in this game, and that's a decently large number. I'm under no disillusionment that Star Citizen won't have its own share of drama. And I'll be OK when Chris Roberts decides to back down from a pledge goal in order to meet release, knowing that if I wait long enough there will be some version of it in the game.

You really think all the pledge goals are going to be ready for release? That's funny.

I spent on Legendary, Phoenix Overlord + Saber, Sarah's Jenner, and $30 on MCs... yeah... did I state this directly to you as being a "non-supporter" Hell no... don't twist the context.

Fixed it for you.

I played STO from launch. The fact that game managed to push through the transition from being owned by Cryptic to being owned by PWI is nothing short of a miracle. If you take a look at STO's sister game Champions Online, which is pretty much the exact same game, engine and all with a different subject matter, you'll see they've taken the route of halting all development and bleeding the game of every last cent they can get from their item shop. No doubt if it wasn't for the die-hard Star Trek fans, STO would have suffered the same fate.

Given their track record thus far, any such change of mind will be announced well in advance, explained in detail, and if an uproar begins they will have a response within 24 hours.

Sure, they might end up dropping the ball, but thus far, Chris Roberts has the gorram Harlem Globetrotters of Community Management and PR working for him.

I think this hits on something very important. A company (game companies as a case in point) build up a store of trust with their clients, and when something goes wrong, it is that store that gets spent before clients begin to question the company's solvency. A game company that keeps the players informed, tries honestly to avoid loss of trust of those players, and does their best with what they are doing gains enough trust that the players will forgive the mistakes that come along in any project. To a point.

When a company makes too many mistakes, or makes too many very large ones, and has spent that store of trust in small mistakes (or not generated enough of it in the first place through poor communication, suspect claims, or continued lack of performance to par), any mistake becomes a major issue because the trust that would carry them through has been squandered or tossed aside.

Right now, MWO is in the second situation. To reuse an old example, the deeper the hole they dig, the more they are going to have to fill in to make it back to even ground.
